From today (1/12/20) the on...ly remaining Covid-19 Hotspot is Adelaide, and Cooinda welcomes visitors from all other areas of Australia. 2. Residents are permitted to leave the facility for any reason, but MUST comply with all other public health directions, eg restrictions on the number of people who may gather outdoors or at residences, currently 50. 3. The limit of a maximum of 2 visitors at a time has been removed. Visitors can also see more than one resident per visit and can go from one lodge to another if they wish. 4. The flu vaccination requirement has been removed. This is because the peak of the 2020 flu season is over, and the vaccination is no longer readily available. All other restrictions remain in place: Visiting hours - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm; Weekends and public holidays 9.00am to 3.00pm All visitors and staff MUST report to main Reception for screening and temperature checks A Risk Assessment questionnaire is to be completed with the relevant RN/CN prior to a Resident leaving the facility, and again on return. Should you require any clarification on any of the above, please call us during business hours. 11.01.2022 Tis the season to be jolly. Council together with The Gympie Chamber of Commerce will be spreading the festive cheer as they host ‘Mary Christmas’ at the Gympie... Town Centre on Wednesday, 16 and 23 December from 5pm to 9pm. Bring your family and friends and an enjoy a great evening that includes; boutique shopping, live music including Christmas carols, nativity scene, wine tasting, food trucks, market stalls, trees decorated by traders and the community. Café’s, bars and restaurants will be open. The evening’s festivities commence at 5pm, with road closures in place from 4pm. You can visit the event Facebook page Food Truckin Fun Fair The ev...ent supports amusement ride operators who would normally visit regional areas at show time. The event is to kick start events like these that have been in lock down most of the year. We work with local food vendors, music artists and community groups in each region we operate. We have just completed 2 different locations with a happy welcome from the community and a massive success for the community groups we worked with. All operators, food vendors, music artists and our ride operators are so excited to be working again after no income all year. Overall we have to date generated activity, income for more than 50 local businesses, artists and community groups. We are looking forward to visiting the Gympie region before heading to Sunshine Coast. Look out for full event details to be announced soon.

There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups.
