The family of Alain, Gai Turley, Jeffrey, Julianne Staff, David, grandchildren and great grandchildren wish to extend their gratitude for all of the beautiful messages of condolence we have received. We have been truly overwhelmed by the amount of people Dad/Pop has touched in his 88years and as such we have made a decision to live stream his funeral and wish to extend an invitation for you to join us from the comfort of your home as we celebrate his amazing life. We know your thoughts are with us and take peace knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife Barbara. Funeral Service beginning at 1.30pm Friday 29 May 2020. 21.01.2022 It is with deepest sadness we mourn the passing of our much loved icon of the Gympie Show Mr Alain Henderson, or Hendy as he was known. Hendy was an integral pa...rt of the horse community, he had the greatest knowledge of the competing horses, including blood lines and achievements. He followed the progress of the riders throughout the years, and was a pony club patron. He spent a lifetime announcing at local shows and horse events, often working all day and into the night. Hendy retired from announcing at the Gympie Show in 2017, but remained a presence at our events, the last being the Bull n Bronc in February this year. Farewell Hendy. We will miss you immeasurably. Thank you for your unyielding dedication. Alain's funeral service will take place Friday 29 May at 1.30pm and will be Live Streamed from a Link provided on this page prior to the service.

Thank you to Mayor Glen Hartwig and Chief Ring Steward Mr John Warren for his kind words. Skinny - you know we all appreciate what you do for not just the jump club and the ring committee but for the Show Society also.... Well deserved award and thanks for all your help - oh and yes you will be putting up rails on Sat and Sunday

06.01.2022 Hi everyone....we have been getting messages 're next jump club days....please know we love to hold the days for you all but we do also hold other fundraising events that are all run by the same committee...we have had to postpone the Bull n Bronc now till 22nd Feb so that pushes any jump club days further....please bear with the hardworking and voluntary ring committee we will set some dates once we have held the Bull n Bronc....we appreciate the support we receive from each and every rider and will post here once we have some dates thank you

As these are very uncertain times we are unable to even think when we may all get to come together again to enjoy a jump club day... how about you share a photo of you competing at jump club or share pics of your four legged friends..just may brighten someones day.

Thank you to our amazing committe of volunteers for set up yesterday and a massive day today....Thank you to all the riders who participated we appreciate you all and your patience!!
