23.01.2022 About 70 people gathered on Sunday afternoon to pray for South Africa and the atrocities that are happening there on a daily basis. Many South African families came together with members of the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church to pray for family and friends impacted by racial tensions, Covid, and drought. Our prayer is that this will be an encouragement to families both here in Australia and in South Africa as word gets out about what is happening. Thank you to all who came ...and to those who shared in the prayer service. We stand with those who are suffering injustice, persecution, and tragedy, wherever it happens in the world.

11.01.2022 The Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church recognises the enormous South African Community in our area and as such we have become aware of some incredible atrocities being done against families, farmers, and whole communities in South Africa itself. It is not the kind of news that you will hear in the mainstream media but nevertheless is very real. On Sunday, November 15th at 5.00pm we will meet at the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church for prayer for South Africa. This will be an o...utdoor event, so bring a chair, and will be held with consideration for all required COVID Safe guidelines. We would love to have you join us.

03.01.2022 Much of the Mainstream media does not report what is happening in South Africa with brutal murders, rapes, assaults, and much more. Many South African families have found a home amongst us in the churches in Gympie, including the Gympie Wesleyan Methodist Church. As such, we re taking the initiative this Sunday evening to come together for Prayer. If you are of South African descent, or simply have a heart for people, we want to encourage you to come together to pray for what... is happening in South Africa in our day. We will gather at 5.00pm for an OUTDOOR Prayer event (Bring a chair) at 70 Exhibition Rd., Southside and pray on behalf of those who live and work in South Africa. Please join us.
