22.01.2022 Are you a female footy player or female wanting to try our great game of Rugby League and possibly follow in the footsteps of our Queensland and Jillaroo player...s? The QRL Central Division is looking for expression of interest from women wishing to play Open Women’s Outback Rugby League in 2021. There has been a number of ideas put forward for how this would look but first we need to gauge the interest and numbers. Must be at least 17 years of age. What we have planned so far; Come and Try days, where players, no matter to what standard they have previously played would be welcome and given basic skills and tackling technique training in Rugby League by NRL Development Officers. The choice to attend a Rugby League Coaching and Referees Course. Depending on the number of players / teams, regular games played at different venues. A trials day in Mitchell to select a Southern Outback Team. A game in Cloncurry against the Northern Outback where a Queensland Outback team would be selected to play against Northern Remote possibly on the same day as the Men’s game. Dates and Venue TBA. Planning for 2021 is also underway for Under 14 and Under 17 girls in the Outback areas. More information to follow.

06.01.2022 Great day today for the annual grade 2/3 Gala Day at Jack Stokes. Over 180 kids from across Gympie schools participated. Thanks to all teachers, players & parents and the year 6 referees who helped make the day a huge success for the community.
