We had a fantastic time with you all, spreading Christmas cheer to one and all. ... We hope that you all have a wonderful break and get to spend time with your family and friends. 10.01.2022 3W participated in the "Student Success Program" today with Mr Darren Burns from the Broncos Development Program. It was a fantastic session where we learnt about teamwork and resilience. A massive thank you to Darren for supporting our school and our awesome students! If only we could photoshop our grass.....green :(

07.01.2022 It was an incredibly proud moment at South yesterday with our Term 4 School Leaders announced on Assembly. This term. Dani, Shamika, Georgia and Ashlea have been awarded the School Leader positions. So yesterday our past Student Leaders officially handed over their positions to our new and enthusiastic leaders. ... They pledged the continue to be role models for their peers and most importantly, to make a difference to our school. We look forward to seeing what these young leaders achieve and we thank our past Leaders for their valued contribution.

02.01.2022 It was a pleasure today to speak to the Year 5 cohort about responisbililty, as they start their "Personal Leadership" unit and their journey into becoming our leaders in 2021. We talked about being a role model and demonstrating to their peers and the public, how to be a South Star Learner....and this is able to be shown in so many ways. It is through their behaviour, uniform, initiative, attitude effort......both at school and in public. Then not just for one day, but eve...ry day. They will all be given the chance to complete their South Leader application towards the middle of this term and we look forward to seeing who applies and wants to support our school in Term 1. Next year our Leaders will be expected to provide an idea or project that they would like to do during their term. They will also vote for their committees during the first school week in Term 1 and we also spoke about them today. So many possibilities for our students to demonstrate their leadership capabilities. Both Mr Pelling and I look forward to seeing what they do to 'make a difference'. ~ Mrs A.

02.01.2022 A massive congratulations to Kayla who was selected in the Girls Wide Bay Cricket Team! Supporting her were Manager - Miss Moy and Coach - Mr Tucker. So Kayla will be back to Bundaberg in November to play the other Queensland regions. ... It was amazing also to see that South had another 4 girls in the Gympie Team - proudly representing Gympie South. We are incredibly proud of you Kayla!
