When you come into the shop I treat you like a human being and have your best interests at heart, not mine, or some large company's. I do my best to get you what you want, and we service/repair your machine properly if you need something done. 02.01.2022 Shop owner -Hey, how are you today? Customer -Good, I was just wondering what kind of suction this thing has?... Shop owner -That one? Customer -Yep, this one. Shop owner -Not much suction at all Customer -That’s no good. Well what about its dust capacity? I’ve got a pet, and it sheds hair all the time Shop owner -It doesn’t have a dust container or a bag Customer -It doesn’t?! Shop owner -No mate Customer, a little frustrated -How does it suck up the dirt and dog hair then? Shop owner, says plainly -It doesn’t. Customer, now quite beside himself -Well what is the point of this thing if it doesn’t suck, or have any dust collector?! Shop owner -It’s a steam mop, mate...it mops. We do have some really strong machines with big capacity...with pet accessories as well. Customer, clearly angry -Well, why didn’t you say so! Shop owner -You didn’t ask mate. 01.01.2022 Hi, When all this Covid19 virus started I thought it was over-blown, but when they said about older folk being vulnerable and that younger people would be given precedence in care and old people may be excluded, I realised that I needed to get on board. When they brought in the 1.5m distancing measure, I struggled as it was like I was disrespecting people standing back, or looking too fearful, but again it was about us all, uncomfortable or not, doing what is best for all of ...us. I will be making sure the distancing is happening in my business and I will be doing it wherever I go. Unity and a little sacrifice is a freedom that we don't often see as that. But it is, and now we may begin to understand that our discomfort, and doing our bit in the effort to protect the vulnerable is good for us. Thanks Jim See more
