07.01.2022 We recently had the opportunity to help a large male turtle that was brought into the clinic. He had been found with a significant defect in his shell after a likely encounter with a vehicle while he was moving to another water way. His shell was repaired with a combination of polyester casting material used for limb injuries and Bovibond (a cattle casting material) to provide a water proof seal. After spending 24 hours in our hospital facilities with monitoring, his shell was deemed waterproof. We were so happy to be able to re-release this guy back near the location that he was found.

06.01.2022 Heading out for a walk with your dog? Be sure to avoid areas with high pollen plants. Pollen levels tend to be very high early in the morning and on warm days. Plan out your daily walks ahead of time, so you and your dog stay sniffle free this spring!

06.01.2022 From a big guy with injuries, to this evenings clip of this little guy found and brought into the clinic, no injuries. He was also released back to where he was found and went on his merry way. Such a gorgeous animal, and it still had its egg tooth which is used to break out of its shell on hatching. We are so fortunate to live in an area with abundant wildlife!

06.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them." Lest we forget.
