23.01.2022 MEET MISS STEPH Steph has been part of the Gymstars family for 10 years now! Steph started gymnastics at the age of 4, competing in the elite program for 8 years (up to 32 hours/week). She then moved to the National development program for an additional 4 years and in her last year in 2009, was selected to compete in the Australian team for the Maccabiah Games in Israel. That same year she moved to cheerleading with Gymstars where she could keep up her gymnastics abilit...ies. In 2010, she went with her team to Hawaii where they competed in the Aloha Spirit Championships! In 2012 her team won a bid to the World Championships in 2013, where they competed and placed 12th. That same year she was selected for the Australian all girl team, where they placed 2nd. In mid-2013, she sent an audition video to The California Allstars, who are a multi time world champion club. She was accepted into the program and moved to California in August that year. At Nationals, with her team, they won a full paid bid to World’s where they competed in 2014. They placed 1st in the U.S. trials and 5th on the finals day. Stephanie arrived back in Sydney on May 2014, where she re-joined her team and competed at Worlds again in 2015. Since then she has taken teams to NCA in Dallas, Spirit Sports in Palm Springs and 2 World Championships. This is her 10th year coaching at Gymstars and is qualified in stunts and tumbling up to level 6. While doing all of this she also danced for 11 years. She trained in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, jazz and hip hop and competed in both groups and solos. She then went on to teach for 4 years. Steph has completed both her first aid and CPR certificate. We are so excited to have Miss Steph teaching our Gymstars Dance Dynasty classes in 2021!

20.01.2022 MEET MISS ALENA Alena started her dance training in 2006 at age 3 and in the past 13 years she has since competed at the Sydney dance of champions as well as many national and finals competitions. Alena is an experienced Eisteddfod and Allstar dancer with a vast knowledge of the dance industry. Alena is trained in lyrical, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop and loves all styles of dance. ... Alena has been at gymstars since 2018, and along with her team she competed at worlds in 2019, in Orlando Florida. Alena began coaching at gymstars in 2019 and loves working with the teams, she is super excited about being able to work closely with our dance program in 2021 and we are really looking forward to having her!

19.01.2022 MEET MISS SARAH We are excited to grow the Gymstars brand and start our Allstar Dance journey, with Sarah Conlon as our Creative Director & Principle. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge, experience and success within the industry. She is the founder of The Empire, has achieved many State & National dance titles across all styles as both a dancer and as a coach. She has won multiple NDA & Worlds Bids and recently took her team 'Rebels' to the Dance World Championships in Fl...orida, where they represented Australia in hip hop. Sarah Conlon is a National and International award winning dancer and choreographer. Sarah not only specialises in hip hop , but is also a very talented lyrical, jazz, and cheerleading coach and choreographer. She has a certificate IV in Media & Performance, has studied at Sydney Dance Company, NIDA and has had one on one voice and performance training with well known Australian actor, Peter Phelps. Sarah is also a USACF trained and accredited cheerleading coach. Before moving from Sydney to Newcastle to pursue and further her career in the dance industry, Sarah was a successful actress, appearing on television shows such as GETAWAY, HOME & AWAY and Foxtel’s WEATHER FREAKS. She is now looking forward to returning to the Northern Beaches to be part of the Gymstars family. Sarah is a fantastic role model, with a deep passion and understanding for children of all ages. Sarah is so excited to meet you all and work with our coaches and staff to create elite allstar dance teams as well as an exciting recreational program. We are beyond excited to have Sarah on our team and cannot wait for 2021! My goal is to create a positive, friendly and fun environment for our students to guide them to be strong and successful dancers. I want everyone who walks through the door at Gymstars Dance Dynasty to feel like they are exactly where they belong, where they can be themselves, where they can succeed, where they are encouraged to be the best dancer they can be, where they can make new friends and where all of their dreams come true. @sarah.louise.conlon
