25.01.2022 To all GTY members, As of today, Monday 23rd March, all non-essential services had to cease operation. Unfortunately this includes gyms, which means that for the foreseeable future, Gym To You can no longer operate from its Jamison premises. We are making alternative training arrangements, and will continue to support you in your health and fitness goals during these difficult and unpredictable times. If you have any questions regarding your upcoming training, please contact us at any time.



25.01.2022 Dear GTY clients & friends, the end of the year is fast approaching and to celebrate, we’d like to invite you to the Gym To You Christmas Party! It will be held in a more casual setting this year, down at Lake Ginninderra (Macdermott Place) on Saturday 19th December at 11am. There will be some food and drinks provided, but if you’d like to use the bbq’s, please bring your own food to cook. As with every year, this occasion means a lot to us as an opportunity to say thank you ...for your hard work and support throughout the year. 2020 was a particularly tough year for all, so it would be great to see you down there to finish the year on a high and set our sights on 2021. 12.01.2022 Its been a challenging 10-12 weeks amidst the COVID-19 pandemic! Adapting to the restrictions was tough and forced us outdoors... and although there were some cold, rainy and windy days, the sun shone on us for the most part As a small business, the initial fear and uncertainty was very hard to deal with. Without the amazing support of our clients, who seamlessly transitioned to the carpark sessions, we wouldnt have been able to get through this. If you decide to take part, all it is, is reducing (ideally removing) your added (refined) sugar intake for the month of September! We understand that this might sound like a daunting challenge, so you dont even have to give up it all up, just reduce it, anything is better than nothing! 07.01.2022 Exercise is one thing that keeps us going. At the height of COVID-19 restrictions in the past few months, exercise stimulated people at a time when not much el...se could. It kept people motivated. And to be the source of this motivation was just so important. I am more than a personal trainer. And its more than just fitness. I am a motivator, Im there as someone people can talk to, and if I didnt turn up each day, I would feel bad for those clients. They kept me going. With gyms being closed down pretty quickly, I was worried about the business. Restrictions on group training immediately cut down our client base. Other clients were concerned about potentially being exposed to the virus, others found it undesirable to train outdoors due to sometimes challenging conditions. For me, it was fear of failure that kept me going. Clients relied on me, on their fitness. So, we never stopped. We kept going. The clients that did stay on were extremely supportive and work started to increase again.
