19.01.2022 Out and about today. I Ponied Rocky off Warrior till Asta decided to be an arse so swapped with Jade and all was good.

19.01.2022 Yesterday amongst all the craziness we had a clients mare with us to be bred to Finn and we had her scanned yesterday and are super happy to say we have a confirmed 14 day baby.

18.01.2022 For the first time since this fire started we are out of the red zone today. Horses are still at the safe stables away from the danger and will stay there till all clear.

13.01.2022 My partner in crime Rocky, came in for a refresher today and we started on the next part of our journey together. We are on our way to being backed when he’s ready closer to the end of the year

12.01.2022 Epic move today! Day started with the pre booked in preg scans and we organised scans for check ups as with the stress of the last week we had concerns for the girls. All good and no issues. 8 mares with 2 trips on the four angle load 3 trips with the double for the minis and a gelding under the weather then.... A call to Paul at Ramsays Horse Transport to see if we could push the move from tomorrow to this arvo and BAM!!!... 3 big trucks full to the brim with all our beautiful babies and a few Agisted beauties all moved home and safe. I can not express how grateful and awed we are for everything everyone has done we can not thank you all enough. Magic Millions for opening there establishment to accomodate not just our 49 horses but also many other people and not just horses. All the people at Magic Millions for everything they did totally above and beyond without a doubt. All the donations of feed hay carrots apples and much more for our animals. All the donations of food for us to eat and drink subway, east side plumbing, coffee van the list goes on. All the people that came at the drop off a hat to help evacuate our horses. And I honestly couldn’t have done it without some of the most wonderful people I have the pleasure of having in my life. Firstly my beloved family and my best friend Cathrina Schofield for taking our kids and keeping them safe while we had to deal with every else, my best friend whom had to evacuate to ours Emily Tilby for being alongside us all the way day in day out and running around with the double float feeding walking the list goes on. My amazing agistees Cailin Mccullagh and her awesome partner who cleaned fed walk loaded unloaded and everything else, Thomas Kelly who also evacuated to our place and worked alongside us day in day out and Ashleigh McCarthy for feeding, watering and cleaning stables day and night. Team I can not thank you enough. So god dam grateful to everyone. Thank you from all of us at Gypsian Sands Stud and Fellarntree Rural Services.

09.01.2022 A huge milestone today for us here at Gypsian Sands Stud being that we have never done this before. We have just served for the first time one of our first generation homebred mares Gypsian Sands Empress Of Faith (rego Empress of Faith Van Gypsian). Friesian Mare.... Breed to HighStreet Red Rocket. Gypsy Cob Colt This mare is also our first home bred Friesian Filly and out of my beloved Jana that I lost a few years ago. This filly is so like her mum and means the world to me. If she conceives foal will be a Black Gypsian or a Blue Roan Gypsian. Super exciting.

04.01.2022 Cruise’s Turn In for worming, a hoof trim, a wash, some refresher training and a rug on to stay mildly clean. He will be leaving us in a few weeks for his new home.

03.01.2022 Another hard part of breeding is saying goodbye. Gypsian Sands Ragnarok AKA Rumble is heading to his new home over east today. Loaded like a champ and I like I always do I shed a few tears. Congratulations to the new owners enjoy your boy.

01.01.2022 Long long day. Cleaning stables feeding walking all the horses and they all got a well deserved hose off. Fire is smaller and looks heaps better. We bought the boys home As they where going stir crazy being boxed up. Finn was a bit stiff in the hinds when I was walking him out and Voodoo told me in no uncertain terms he wanted to go home. Rocky was well the normal chilled Rocky he was sharing a box with Warrior the last few days. We will start bringing the rest of the horses... back tomorrow and Sunday Everyone has been amazing from the firies to the volunteers everyone in between and all those people that have reach out with their thoughts and prays to us.
