25.01.2022 Coach comment: You know how often its said that the coach inspires the students? Well today this coach was inspired by my riders: and I thank you for that. From the youngsters and beginner/intermediate riders who showed me glimpses of the amazing young riders you can and will be with amazing attitude and sheer joy of learning new skills, to the teenagers who learned travers and nailed it first time around, and to those I threw in the deep end with a different horse to ride ...adapting to both fast and lazy style horses with ease, meeting challenges of line, pole work and increased degree of difficulty with determination, and a sense of satisfaction for a big challenge well met. And to my adult riders- one whom has been adamant to keep riding and improving with a new horse despite health challenges that would have put others on the sidelines, to the rider who rode a new big tb like a pro and shocked herself a bit that she could do that with zero drama, to another who nailed true collection in the canter and therefore rode the most Devine canter walk transitions I have seen in a long time, and of course the grit and determination of my last rider for the sheer guts to go deep into a position lesson on the lunge to fine tune connection and feel for her Elementary work. Today I taught an age range of 8 to adults of indeterminate age (we are all forever 21 right?). I taught beginners who are learning to canter, and experienced riders preparing for state and national competitions, and pleasure riders who just wanna be safer in the saddle. Today was a great day and I thank you all for what you bring to our arena, and how you inspire me to be a better coach and help you reach your goals! You all rock Leasa

23.01.2022 We are HIRING!!! The Gypsie Lodge Team at Kobble Creek (near Dayboro/Samford in Qld), is on the hunt for a team member to join our great crew of Equine Slaves- ahem, staff! We have a position become available doing a 2-3 hour shift of morning feeds and general stable duties on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. ... The successul applicant needs - Own transport and licence (manual please so you can drive the feed Ute!) Be a Self starter with great attitude Have High horse handling skills Ability to work both individually and in a team Experience working with a variety of horses Great customer service skills This position could expand to a coaching position for the right applicant with Equine coaching qualifications. 18.01.2022 Today we laid to rest our beautiful old School pony affectionately known as PrincePony. At 34/35 years old, this grand master of kids ponies helped us teach u...ncountable kids how to ride. Starting at Gypsie with his proud owner, Kate Hunter who was about 8 at the time, PrincePony went on to be a full time schoolie for many many years, officially retiring in his late 20s to boss the younger generation of white ponies around. I would love those of you who got to ride Prince as a kid if you could share any photos you may have in the comments, along with your happiest memory. Mine is our Gypsie Lodge Freestyle Competition (circa 1998ish) when he and a very very tiny kate trotted up the centre line to pretty fly for a white guy. Many years of joy, and the world has one less little grey super pony today. Rest In Peace now PrincePony- we miss you. Leasa, Jan and all the Gypsies xxx

11.01.2022 Interview with a molasses monster: Me- what have you done snoopy??? Snoopy- it was left for me Me- Snoopy, it was left in the tack room!!!... Snoopy- ... Me- ..... Snoopy- it tasted pretty good though. Side note from Gypsie management: Official apologies to whichever Agistee had a full bottle of molasses in their tack area. Its now spread all over Snoopys nose, legs and most of the tack room. We will get you another bottle! We are waiting on an official apology from Snoopy. (Thanks Catie for doing the clean up of the monsters crime scene)

11.01.2022 Merry Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful agistees and clients from all of us at Gypsie Lodge! Many of our owners are away experiencing a white Christmas (or cold) this year, so know your equine family members are doing well! All of the horses ate their chrissy carrots with brekkie and had an extra special fuss, though word is Santa did fly a little low over the paddocks last night keeping them awake, and may have dropped a pressie or two out of the sleigh on his way past! let us know if anyone is missing theirs!

02.01.2022 Gypsie Lodge is Hiring! Due to some rostering changes, we are on the hunt for an enthusiastic, experienced horse person available weekdays for general horse duties. Duties include care, exercising and feeding routines for a very .... lets just say eclectic group of equines. (Think welsh mountain ponies to warmblood stallions and everything in between). This person must work well as a team as well as have the initiative to work solo. Excellent customer service skills are ess...ential, as is a manual drivers licence.
