08.01.2022 I was wondering who was eating my chook's food at night.

08.01.2022 Hello to all, sorry for taking so long to post. Spring has arrived and with the warmer weather, so have the birds and wildlife. Both pairs of White Bellied Sea Eagles have young in the nests. Young Azure King-Fishers are venturing from their burrows. Reptiles are all out and about too. We keep seeing a pair of Wedge-Tailed Eagles (one missing most of it’s tail) along the Genoa River and into Maramingo Creek. Also spotted last week was a Striated Heron (not observed here since 2011) and Grey Goshawk (WM). It seems that our area has an explosion of bird species including Scarlett Honeyeaters, Eastern Koels, Cuckoo’s, Black Faced Cuckoo-Shrike and Glossy Black’s just to name a few. John

06.01.2022 The little birds outside my house let me know this tiger snake had caught a young ring tail possum. Taken on iPhone.

06.01.2022 The magnificent sea eagle. We had the privilege of seeing them up close today.

03.01.2022 A great old photo of the old Gipsy Point wharf that was destroyed in the 1971 flood.
