11.01.2022 What is Groundwork and Why do we do it? You do Groundwork with horses for various reasons. To create a bond with your horse, to ensure a deeper understanding of why your horse is doing certain things. To install confidence and show leadership, in situations that may present more difficult. A horse has a herd mentality and will only obey if he trusts you and see's you as a leader. To set the foundations for other required actions such as hoof trimming, worming, vet treat...ments, float & truck loading... Groundwork can help your horse overcome certain fears. Groundwork is the foundation for many things, it ensures working with your horse can happen safely and transitions into a much quicker learning process during riding. We are doing a session on Groundwork in the shade of the Beautiful River Gums at the H4C Trail Horse Riders Mt Benstead at The Garden Stn Trail this Saturday. Registrations for groundwork session please email: [email protected]
