16.01.2022 CEN’s Bateau Bay Swift Parrot Habitat Restoration Project - Plant a Nectar Food Forest- 8th August 2020 We had a fun day planting trees, shrubs, sedges and grou...nd covers to help save our Swifty’s. We managed to plant over 600 plants in EDSACC Reserve, expanding the Stepping Stones Landcare Wildlife corridor along Salt water creek, improving the habitat for the critically endangered Swift Parrot and many other threatened native animals. We also had guided bird walks and Swift parrot bird surveying with Kaye and Christina from Central Coast Group Birding NSW. As well as water quality monitoring and water bug activities with Rachael, CEN’s Waterwatch coordinator. A big warm thank you to everyone who helped bring it all together. Fantastic effort!
