18.01.2022 Chlorophyllum molybdites - The Vomiter The most commonly found mushroom that emerges around suburbia after large rain events, The Vomiter is marvelled by many. It may look like a delicious edible field mushroom, but it is infact responsible for the most mushroom poisonings around. It causes gastrointestinal issues, vomiting, and can give allergic reactions in pets that consume it. It is able to be identified by its green lamellae (gills), which give off green spores as well. ...These Goblin-like monsters may be poisonous, but they are still an important part of the ecosystem. They, like most other fungi, break down organic matter in soils and gardens, making nutrients more available to plant life. You can often see them forming Faerie Rings, where the grass is greener within the ring - the area being provided with more nutrients....What the Fungi!? See more
