24.01.2022 last wedensday Mikey and Ashira from Friendship Circle of Melbourne ran an engaging and thought provoking peulah for all of the melbourne madrichim! We discussed how we can continue to, and create new ways of being accessible and inclusive in all of our spaces. Looking forward to continue to be partners with Friendship Circle of Melbourne!

21.01.2022 To kick off the day we started with a Cafe Ivrit Breakfast with Delicious Hummas Bowls. We then had Balagan Beyachad; an activity slot filled with a bunch of fun, exciting activities. After Lunch we had a day full of exciting Peulot and Skit Night prep. Then to finish off the day we had an unbelievable Skit Night (Talent Show) that was run by the Madatzimot and Chanichimot!!!!

20.01.2022 We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone from the community for all the support and help with our winter camp during the recent holidays. Although there have been many obstacles during these tough circumstances, we were able to successfully provide an educational and fun holiday program which adequately abided by all government COVID-19 standards. Thank you for all the participants and leaders who so respectfully upheld our social distancing and hygiene practises. We prov...ided power courses, zumba, peulot, sports, games, ruach, chuggim, cafe d and more! During this lockdown, we hope everyone is looking after both their own mental and physical health, and supporting each other during these times. We will be taking a break from peulot during the lockdown, stay posted for updates.

The saddening death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg calls on the rest of us to act in Ginsburg’s memory. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993. Ginsburg was the first Jewish woman and the second woman to serve on the Court. Ginsburg spent her legal career as an advocate for gender equality and women'...s rights. She was fierce and unflinching in her pursuit of civil rights for all. Her death came at a time of Rosh Hashana, giving us the period between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur to reflect on the work she did, and to reflect on ourselves. As Ruth is pictured blowing the shofar, may the cry of the shofar awaken us even further, and call on us to act on our resolutions for the coming year. 17.01.2022 Hi all, This post serves to reassure you of plans for FED21 in our ever changing context. The signups for FED21 are currently open and as it stands all signups are fully refundable, due to the unstable nature of COVID-19. The plan for FED21 is for it to run normally in Melbourne from January 11th-20th. If this plan cannot happen then all registrations will be refunded in full. We are also looking into alternative plans in the case that we can still run a senior summer camp t...hat looks quite different to the usual fed. We will be in contact with all parents if we must implement one of these alternatives. We hope this reassurance can help any concerns regarding COVID-19 in relation to FED21. 15.01.2022 Today was Topsy Turvy where everything was in reverse! For example, we had Dinner for Breakfast & Breakfast for Dinner. To add to the fun we also had a massive Wet and Wild with a Slip n' Slide and water fights! What a Wild time!!

15.01.2022 The highlight of the day for many was the time spent on the harness equipment, including the giant swing and the flying fox. We ate delicious wraps for lunch, learned our camp songs, swam in the pool, danced Ruach on the grass outside & enjoyed a delicious meal altogether! We finished the evening with an outdoor cinema experience for year 2’s as well as thrilling night time programs for the older year levels.

13.01.2022 SHABBAT SHALOM! We have some SHABBAS news! Habo activities will be back on the 15TH OF AUGUST. It will look differently, and we are currently working hard to structure them in a way that is relevant to our community. More information will be posted on social media, WhatsApp groups and emails.... We hope you have been staying safe and looking after yourself and friends. The next 9 days are the lead up to T'sha B'av (an annual fast day in Judaism, known to be one of the saddest days in the Jewish calendar). This isolation period is a time for reflection and introspection, and it is important to look after ourselves through the strange and hard time we have been living through lately. As we come closer to T'sha B'av, use this time to reflect on what you have learnt, how we as a community can grow together, and how both individually and collectively we can continue to be of service to our local and global community. Stay well.
