We have a great, hardworking committee, who are passionate, dedicated and have a lot of fun doing what they do. Committee meetings are held once a month on the second Wednesday. You’ll also see us involved in most productions both on and off stage. If you are also passionate about the arts and feel that you could make a difference by nominating for committee, please consider doing so. Nominations are more than welcome. 04.01.2022 This is truly the message we did not want to be sending to you all. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the HAC Broadway Showcase. The production team have been monitoring the current COVID situation closely over the past months and have come to the conclusion that there is no way we can bring the Showcase to the stage as planned in May 2021 the way we want it to be. The team have a very strong vision and passion for the production, bought to life b...y you our fabulous cast. It is our hope that we will be able to bring the Showcase back to the HAC Committee for consideration when we are able to perform it in all of its glory, but we know that this will not be for some time. We do not know when live theatre performances will be allowed again at the HTH, let alone when restrictions will allow a cast and crew of around 80 to return to rehearsing at our own HAC venue. We believe that bringing the Showcase to the stage under current circumstances would mean altering the show dramatically, and we are not willing to do that. We also want to acknowledge the fact that many of our cast may have grown, become unavailable or even moved away over this time. We know priorities change and we can't ask people to hold any longer. On behalf of Deb and the production team, we wish to acknowledge the countless hours of work that have already gone into this show before we were shut down. Please know that we will be forever grateful for the hard work that was put in and for the way this show was embraced by all involved. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are looking forward to when we are able to start creating again, the committee is hard at work brainstorming possibilities under the current restrictions and we look forward to letting you all know what is next for us.
