16.01.2022 Friday I had the honour of painting this beautiful girls face for her wedding . . Lauras partner (32) had recently gone to the GP thinking he had appendicitis which devastatingly turned out to be bowel cancer which had already spread to his liver He had undergone major bowel surgery to remove majority of his large bowel including the tumour formed but sadly the cancer which has spread to his liver is a rare form of small cell cancer. ... I saw a post from a friend on the Brides to be Perth WA group page asking if anyone had suggestions as what was needed to be organised so that the couple could get married before his next round of chemotherapy. People from all industries all over perth immediately started offering their services. It was so incredibly heartwarming to see a community come together so quickly so that a couple could have the special day they had dreamed of surrounded by friends, family & their two gorgeous children without the worry & stress of having to organise & plan themselves From what friends thought would be Laura getting married in her active wear in a registry office- came together a beautiful full blown planned wedding in just a few weeks. The dress, photographer, videographer, hair, makeup, absolutely everything & more was offered in this time of need. It was an absolute privilege to be asked after offering my services & something I feel incredibly proud to have been a part of. There are so many good people in the world, never be afraid to ask when you need support. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind always I wish Laura & Andy all the strength in this world & hope yesterday was absolutely perfect Much love & happiness x x x
