A big thumbs down to the modern day International tourist (not all but a select few) who seem to think its acceptable to bring their filthy cultural habits with them. Standing on toilet seats, dropping your wiped toilet paper on the floor and leaving sanitary pads for all to see is not how we do it here in Australia!! Dawn Service around the campfire via TV link, followed by breakfast and two up. A day when I remember my father dearly and just wish I was mature enough to tell him how proud I am of him. 18.01.2022 Googs Track is not one to be underestimated. Bogged up to my belly (1.5 hours of digging ) then either a side wall stake or a peeled tyre..(fixed 4 hours later). Learnt that changing a tyre below ground level is bloody difficult and if it wasnt for assistance from another group Ernie may still be on the Googs Track! 12.01.2022 Everyone loves a good Cape, especially one with a lighthouse. But bugger me, when I rocked up to Cape Otway I questioned where I was. The map of the site was in Chinese! Its the day before Australia Day and theres Chinese New Year ribbons on display...not green and gold, not an Australian flag...cmon we can do better than this. The $37 entry fee (2 people) was a disgrace and the items on show were a concoction of b*llshit items trying to make something out of nothing . AND at the risk of being branded something Im not, the joint was operated by people who clearly couldnt care less. For other travellers, believe me...its a lighthouse on a Cape with some interesting history...but save your money...what a joke. Watch the Wallabies or Waratahs, youll be less disappointed.

Ive long battled in business competing against imported products and can only hope that there is a long term resurgence of manufacturing in Australia. More importantly I hope that extra weight is given when reviewing Tenders to Australian owned companies who use Australian Made products.
