19.01.2022 Do you know it would take an Ambulance at least 10 min to reach your house in Haddon. You could be the Life saving step in saving a family member or neighbours life. Shocktober is a month-long campaign to highlight the importance of knowing where Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located and to ensure that all AEDs are made publicly accessible and registered through Ambulance Victoria. Restart a Heart Day is held on October 16 and is a global initiative to raise aw...areness and educate the community about CPR and AEDs. Did you know that only 1 in 10 Australians survive a cardiac arrest? Together we can improve cardiac arrest survival rates by knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED (defibrillator). Join me in this virtual awareness session, and together we could get our community a 24/7 AED granted from Ambulance Victoria, so join me in virtual awareness session. See more

06.01.2022 Today's changes at Facebook are making it difficult to access news in Australia. While this doesn't appear to be impacting CFA at the moment it is affecting som...e fire services in other states, so it's a good opportunity to make sure we have multiple, reliable sources of fire safety information at our fingertips. 05.01.2022 As the rain falls, it’s hard to believe that today marks 1 year since the Bunkers Hill fire that burnt over 134 hectares, losing 1 home, a number of sheds / structures and km of fences. The land has recovered the trees with there new shoots showing there is light at the other end. So much has happened in the last 12 mth with more devastating fires across the country and now the Covid19 virus. In this time of staying home to protect our community, friends and family, please if you know someone effected by the Bunkers Hill Fire give them a call or send them a message and check and make sure they are a OK. Stay safe look after each other for a distance.
05.01.2022 Today, Wednesday 29th April at 5:40 pm, Haddon Fire Brigade (Haddon and Smythes Creek stations) will sound our siren four times. Each siren sounding will represent and honour the brave members of Victoria Police who lost their lives in the line of duty in Kew at 5:40 pm Wednesday 22nd April 2020. If you hear sirens at 5:40pm this afternoon there is no reason to be alarmed. We encourage community members to utilise this time to take a moment to reflect and remember the sacrifice made by Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Josh Prestney and Constable Glen Humphris.
