25.01.2022 The next edition of our newsletter will be out very soon! In this issue, we look back at the events of the last few months of 2019, including the Festival of Small Halls Also included is information on a CPR and defibrillator demonstration at the Haden Hall, and an update from the Haden and District Rural Fire Brigade

24.01.2022 The Downs Vintage Machinery Club Inc. will be hosting their Tractor Trek on February 13. The vintage tractors will start their travels at Goombungee Showground, travelling to Haden for a break at about 10am, followed by further adventures around the area and lunch at the Haden Hall, before heading back to Goombungee. Keep an eye out for vintage machinery on our roads on Saturday the 13th!

22.01.2022 Haden Public Hall Inc members are looking for recommendations for an entertainer to entertain children and teens on the 21st November. If you can recommend a clown, juggling artist or a balloon artist who creates animal balloons or something else non contact. Applicant will need to be Covid safe, and will need to hold a Blue Card.

22.01.2022 The Market Day is fast approaching! We still have room for stalls (from just $10). There will be free children's entertainment on the day as well as entertainment by John Koehler and the Toowoomba Bush Poets Group. There will be a large range of products for sale including plants, fruits and veggies and more. A raffle will benefit Blush Cancer Care Inc. Entertainment enabled in part by a grant from Toowoomba Regional Council.

15.01.2022 Devastating news - St Leo's Church at Haden (approx 50km north of Toowoomba) has been destroyed in a fire overnight. Fire crews attended the scene just after mi...dnight this morning (Sunday 7/6/20). On arrival it was reported that the building was well involved. Police are currently investigating. We will also have food available including burgers, as well as desserts. The market will be held at Haden Hall form 8am-1pm

The Haden Public Hall Committee served home-made sandwiches and cake for morning tea, a cold lunch, along with apple crumble and fruit salad for dessert, all while being COVID-safe

04.01.2022 Janice Hutchinson sent in this picture which accompanies the article in our newsletter, regarding a Cinderella Dance held in the 1930s to benefit the Haden Catholic Church. Many of the people pictured still have descendants in Haden today - and some of those descendants were still maintaining the church up until it was destroyed by fire last month.
