16.01.2022 Cop this y'all, one of my fave pubs The Gasometer Hotel in Collingwood (The Gaso) has now become one of my fave bottle shops (Mountain Wines) and place to shop ...for all manner of produce (Hagen's Organic). Talk about a pivot (I hate that word nowadays, sorry...) but see for yourself. Pub, what pub? Which is a sad thing in itself of course but it's pretty unreal in there currently. 16.01.2022 Cousin Pat is dropping in with his take on Peri Peri Chicken ... but not as you know it! Peri-peri is a punchy marinade with East African roots, and it’s here to kick your roast chook up a level. This recipe from Neil Perry is perfect with a textured Chenin Blanc like Millton Te Arai Vineyard. A little bit Spicy, but a whole lotta nicey!... 13.01.2022 Maqluba is a favourite traditional dish for people across Palestine and the Levant and, simply put, means ‘upside-down’! A hearty, comforting dish, it combines chicken, rice and vegetables in the one pot, all turned out onto a big platter. It’s often cooked as a gesture of hospitality for special visitors, and during Ramadan women will bring it to their mosque to break fasting. Aheda’s version is based on her grandmother’s recipe and may vary according to what’s looking good in her vegetable garden. We are SO grateful for Aheda sharing this recipe with us. 02.01.2022 We have whipped up this quick and easy salad recipe using seasonal ingredients, all available at Hagens. We use hero ingredients such as rockmelon and stunning heirloom tomatoes in this dish, which bring it incredible colour and flavour.
