23.01.2022 Player Auction Group 4 Brayden Hopgood: Guernsey Number- 5 Bio: Absolute running machine who combines this with excellent skills, hard-tackling and an absolute desire to win. The word around the club is he is set for a massive year, and that was on show in Round 1 where he finished in the best players. There is no way he goes through the year without polling votes regularly. ... Cooper Nykamp Guernsey Number- 28 Bio: Freakish ability to take a mark while sitting on an opponent’s head, probably only bettered by his freakish ability to use his head as a battering ram. He is a focal point in the A Grade forward line, as well as an on-field leader, and will be looking to score plenty of goals this season. Lachlan Hesse Guernsey Number- 47 Bio: A young ruckman continuing to learn his craft, with the ability to fill key positions at both ends of the field. Quick and evasive for someone his size, and sure to make an increasing impact as the season progresses.

22.01.2022 Player Auction Group 1 Trent Male: Guernsey Number- 1 Bio: Hard-as-nails defender fresh off a 2020 A Grade Premiership. Provides the ability to lock down on dangerous forwards and also run from the backline. Bound to poll votes this year in the BnF. A crowd favourite. ... Luke Roberts: Guernsey Number- 21 Bio: Big Centre Half-Forward who returns after a season off. On his day, has the ability to dismantle opposition back lines and is one of the premier forwards in the HFL. Noted vote-getter who considers himself the best of the Roberts trio. Brendan Smart: Guernsey Number- 24 Bio: A stalwart of the B Grade teams at Hahndorf. Had his season cut short with injury in 2020, but there is no reason why he won’t return to his best. Is a multiple highest goal kicker for the League and club. Known to kick bags of goals which has him feature regularly in the votes.

22.01.2022 Hi HFC Family, First and foremost, I hope you are all safe and well. Following the announcement of the 6 day lockdown for South Australia, I wish to advise that the AGM, as advertised for November 24th, has now been cancelled. We will be in touch, via electronic means, as to a rescheduled date.... I know this is a tough time for us all but we have done this before and we know we can do it again. Please stay safe, stay home (if you can), listen to and follow the advice from the Government and be kind to each other. This year, the club will be looking for a new Vice President. This position is required to be voted in at the AGM. Burst onto the scene in 2020 and secured himself an A Grade Premiership medal, after a 3-goal performance in the Preliminary Final against Blackwood, which he backed up with a goal in the Grand Final. Combined with Keast and Davies, bound to be a group that gets attention. ... Alex Keast: Guernsey Number- 27 Bio: Premiership player. Provides a heap of run on the wing, combined with an elite kick and ability to kick goals. Very good overhead for a smaller player. He plays with a minimum of fuss and gets the job done. Attracts votes every time he plays and rarely goes a week without a mention in the best players. Adam Davies: Guernsey Number- 31 Bio: A very tough, hard-running, even harder tackling midfielder/forward. One of the best set-shots for goal at the club. His past two seasons have been affected by injury, but a full season this year will have him amongst the goals and votes. Played his first A Grade game for the club against Blackwood and kicked a goal on debut. Will get his fair share of votes, and challenge for the title of best Hopgood at Hahndorf. ... Dylan Matsen: Guernsey Number-25 Bio: How can you go past Group 2 when it includes a multiple Premiership Captain, Mail Medallist and HFC Best and Fairest. Hands down the most recognisable midfielder in the HFL because of his elite skills, competitiveness and man-bun. You’d be crazy not to bid heavily on this group, purely for this guy. Josh Hill: Guernsey Number- 50 Bio: First year of senior football at the club. Comes into the senior group with a good reputation as a hard trainer, with the desire to succeed. No doubt he will work hard this year and is bound to get opportunities at B Grade level. One to watch.

03.01.2022 Time for a good new story! Footy might have come to an end for the season but some of our volunteers haven’t stopped giving. David ‘Mo’ Moseley spent four days at the club last week working to improve drainage at the clubroom end goals. He's excavated, concreted drains, and introduced around 20 tonne of soil and fertilizer, levelled out and laid grass. Where we would be without these kind of blokes?

03.01.2022 Dear Members and Friends, It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Hahndorf Football Club friend and personality, Anthony Male, who died in a tragic accident on Thursday night. Anthony and his wife Gaylene have been long-term sponsors and active contributors of the club and also parents to current A-grade players Trent and Jarryn. ... Our prayers and thoughts are with the Male family at this time: to Gaylene, Trent, Jarryn, Kiralee, Danica and extended family, please know that your family at the Hahndorf Football Club is grieving with you.
