13.01.2022 We completed phase one of delivering emergency relief meal packs to vulnerable residents of Tennant Creek today. This has placed almost 500 packs of nutritiousl...y curated ingredients into the grateful hands of our community, enough for 2000 meals!! Phase two will be the same again next weekend, once our grocery supplies are replenished. Incredibly generous Tennantites, who aren't even Lions Club members, came back again today, giving up BOTH days of their weekend to help the town! We are in awe of your generosity, thank you! Yesterday we were so kindly helped by: Brian, Debbie & Larry, Rianna, Peni, Alba, Kaylene, Nicole, Pastor Mike, Eddie & Josephine, Ana, Barb, Chrissy, Kaylene, Noella, Lyndell & David. Today, Debbie & Larry, Barb, Chrissie, Alba, Rianna, Nicole and Marnie helped us again!! They were joined by Bernie, Susie, and Leah, who was accompanied by her superstar children, Levi and Marley, and Louise & Warren H. Our sincere thanks to all of you! It was so heartwarming, in particular, to work with such good-hearted children who were so very keen to simply do what they could to help people!! We tried to get photos of all of you, apologies to anyone we missed in the hurly burly!! We are also grateful to the businesses & organisations who provided assistance: CWA, RSL, BRAADAG (Marnie Sutton, you are a deadset legend!), Barkly Butchers, Memories Restaurant, TC Memo Club, Julalikari, Barkly Vet and suppliers in Alice Springs - Smimac, Independent Grocers and Central Fruit & Veg. Others offered support, but asked to remain anonymous, we thank you also! Thanks to Catholic Care, the Renal Clinic, TC Women's Refuge and Anyinginyi who will provide the remaining meal packs to their clients over coming days. And finally, our utmost thanks to both the Australian and International Lions Foundations, without whose generous donations, none of this was possible! Our whole community thanks you!! Watch this space again next weekend! We tried our hardest to get good coverage across the town. Please sing out if there's anyone we should add next weekend! Yours, in Lions Service, President Kate & Treasurer Merrin xx

08.01.2022 It’s almost been a month since our office was damaged in a fire from a neighbouring building. With the boardroom, bathrooms and kitchen badly damaged and the re...st of the office affected by smoke and water, we made the decision to find a temporary location while repairs are underway. We are pleased to now be fully operational at our temporary location in Broadmeadow, Newcastle. Our team have worked hard to ensure a smooth transition given the somewhat challenging circumstances. Club Supplies is now back up and running and we would like to thank those waiting on orders for your patience during this time. Thank you to Little Green Frog for our new (temporary) signage!
