24.01.2022 THE POWER OF GIVING... Our wonderful Haileybury City community has generously donated $600 to the Melbourne City Mission at a time when supporting the people of Melbourne has never been more critical. Thank you to everyone at HPF City
22.01.2022 At our 3rd Donor Impact Series this week we were joined by Douglas Travis Scholarship recipient, Vinith Imayavasan (Yr 9, Berwick) who shared with us how much it means to him to receive the gift of a Haileybury education. Vinith values this scholarship opportunity so much that he one day hopes to be able to give back, gifting his own named scholarship to the Foundation so that a boy or girl from future generations may be able to enjoy the same transformative experience. We we...re also joined by Director of Sport, Sean Allcock, who discussed the challenges, and the positives, of keeping students active during COVID. Our donors learned about the many aspirational sporting leaders here at Haileybury, elite sportspeople who mentor and support our students to become high achievers themselves. We are very lucky to have the likes of Craig Mottram, Matthew Lloyd, and many others in our midst, to guide our young sportsmen and women to greatness! We closed out the day with a fabulous rendition of "We Are Haileybury," sung by our Senior School choir - virtually!

The inaugural recipient was Yr 9 student, Vin...ith Imayavasan. Douglas believes it is "Attitude, mixed with aptitude that will determine your altitude." 19.01.2022 A big shoutout and a huge THANK YOU to our Haileybury Grounds, Maintenance & Facilities teams across our 4 Melbourne campuses who have been super-busy working behind the scenes over the past months. From new additions, refurbishments, renovations, landscaping, essential services checks, and generally keeping our buildings and grounds looking spic and span (and highly sanitised), they've been busy packing Art workbooks for Junior School; Chemistry prac kits for Middle School; and electronics packs for Year 10, then PERSONALLY DELIVERING them to our students, all around Melbourne! How's that for service, with a smile no doubt! Thank you Grounds, Maintenance & Facilities teams, your support has been nothing short of amazing

16.01.2022 EVERY CHILD MATTERS, EVERY DAY at Haileybury. At the Haileybury Foundation, we are passionate about changing lives forever by creating opportunities for students who would not ordinarily have the chance to experience a life-changing education at Haileybury... an opportunity to enrich their lives, realise their potential, and shape their future. The gift of a great education is a gift for life. ... With the help of our wonderful donors - our Haileybury heroes - find out how, together, we make this happen. https://www.haileybury.com.au/giving
15.01.2022 Following on from the success of our first Year Group Scholarship (which commenced in 2020) we are excited to share that the Class of 1984 will be generously supporting a new scholarship in 2021. This Class Giving program is made possible by the philanthropic generosity of former classmates joining together to fund an annual scholarship. 'Paying it forward' creates an opportunity for a young student who would not ordinarily have the chance to attend Haileybury, to experience... a lifechanging educational journey like these Old Haileyburians once did. Thank you to the Class of 1984 members participating for your lifechanging support. Are you an Old Haileyburian? Find out more about our Class Giving program below. #HaileyburyChangingLives #payitforward #philanthropy
13.01.2022 Good luck to all our Foundation scholarship students, embarking on Term 1A! Some move to Senior School, others to Pre-Senior, and one to Yr 12. We are so proud of you all and wish you the best of luck for the next chapter of your Haileybury journey! #goodluck #HaileyburyChangingLives #learningjourney
13.01.2022 Love this! Did you know that research conducted by the University of Oregon and a Gallup World Poll tells us that giving, and helping others, makes us feel happier than taking care of ourselves? Now, more than ever, it's important to show our gratitude and to help those in our community who need it most.
12.01.2022 Today we celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day. At Haileybury Rendall School in Darwin, we are committed to shaping new attitudes to learning, and 'closing the gap' for our Indigenous students, with a specific focus on Literacy and Numeracy in the Middle School years. This ensures that all graduates leave the School with the skills they require to become active citizens. #indigenousliteracy #HaileyburyChangingLives
11.01.2022 We held our final Donor Impact Series special virtual event yesterday, featuring our wonderful Haileybury Staff Giving Scholarship recipient, Faith Mapolo Kauseni. Faith had us all smiling, and almost crying, her story was delivered so eloquently and beautifully. This was followed up by a super-informative introduction to HaileyburyX and edTech, delivered by HaileyburyX Director, Peter Thomas. There are exciting times ahead with this innovative learning, so watch this space! We would like to thank all our wonderful scholarship benefactors and donors who attended these events, without you none of this would be possible and we look forward to bringing you more of these exclusive events in 2021 - hopefully face-to-face!
11.01.2022 From the Archives...Recently the family of Old Haileyburian Ralph P. Small (OH 1911) donated some precious treasures to our School in the form of 2 silver School Championship Trophies dating back to 1909 and 1910! These trophies will grace the Archives cabinets of the Jim Brown Centre for our students to enjoy. Thank you to the family of Ralph P. Small. It is wonderful that gifts from our kind and generous community take many forms to ensure Haileybury's legacy lives on well into the future.
10.01.2022 Welcome to #MotivationMonday! This week's quote comes from one of our Old Haileyburians who is also a Foundation Winged Heart Society member, Rob Fildes (OH 1958)... "You cannot always have happiness, but you can always give happiness." Have a great week everyone... 3 weeks of lockdown to go!!
09.01.2022 Last week, the Newlands Middle School students hosted our annual Colour Run to raise funds for the Phnom Krom Village Preschool in Cambodia. Due to COVID, this year the Colour Run had students walking around a designated course in their homeroom groups while being showered with coloured powder. The Colour Run has become an annual part of the Social Justice Program at Newlands and an event loved and enjoyed by every student. The students had great fun getting very colourful while supporting a community in need. This year, we raised a total of $1,180 which was a tremendous effort. Pictured is Foundation Scholarship recipient Harper Quinn, with his Yr 7.4 classmates #SocialJustice #ColourRun #Wecare
08.01.2022 We are so excited and proud to share that Haileybury is the 2020 Primary School of the Year, AND the gong for Primary School Principal of the Year went to our very own Grenville Green as announced in The Educator 2020 Australian Education Awards last night!! Congratulations to Grenville, Melissa, HaileyburyX, and Haileybury's incredible leadership, teaching, and support teams for a phenomenal year in education.
06.01.2022 One of our Foundation scholarship students is passionate and committed about giving back and supporting the community. Hannah Chard from City shared with us how she recently sourced 220 scrub hats for front line COVID testing nurses. Hannah's idea received phenomenal support from her homeroom teacher, so both Year 7 Girls’ homerooms also contributed hand-written notes to put with the hats, which were distributed to COVID testing clinics. Well done to Hannah and the Year 7 Girls' homerooms at City! #COVIDcare #givingback #HaileyburyChangingLives

04.01.2022 This is why we are so passionate about fundraising to create opportunities for students who would not ordinarily have the chance to attend this world-class School. The teachers, the students, the learning programs, the leadership, the community - all truly outstanding - and something that we should share with deserving students who may be less fortunate. At Haileybury, Every Student Matters, Every Day.
