Chemistry and chemical reactions, mathematics and science, understanding different types of hair, how it grows and reacts to varying techniques, body types, skin tones, how hair falls when you cut it at certain angles and then putting all of that knowledge into play whilst delving into personal conversations and building relationships with the ...beauty in your chair. Multitasking level = PRO. Hairdressing couldn’t be further from ‘the job you do when you’re not qualified in anything else’ That age old stigma really gets me going. We are creators, Counsellors, therapists, friends, baristas, masseuses, and professionals. We charge our worth because we’re worth it. We adjust your crown that you wear every day It may not be considered a degree but it damn well should be. 3 years of study (in and out of the salon) and plenty of ongoing education thereafter and in our own time. We keep up with new styles, new techniques, new products... and we do it because we LOVE it.
