21.01.2022 Happy Spring! May it bring good health, less restrictions and more of the life we love to live Jomara hours are back to normal

19.01.2022 As you know from my last post I have been in my introvert cave. For awhile this served me really well but now it is just making me feel bad. This morning I asked myself this question, "are you doing any of the things you know help you feel good?" And the answer is NO. I am going to share returning to things that I know will get me back on track and I would love to hear in the comments anything you are doing at this time that will make Covid-19 a positive experience rather th...an a negative time in your life. You may ask what has this got to do with Jomara and hair? My little secret is that connecting, interacting and learning from the person under the hair is what drives me, the hair is the excuse to spend an hour or two with you. I am going to start with the language and words I am using at the moment and my posts for a little while will reflect this. See more

19.01.2022 It's so beautiful out the front of my house this morning. Sun pouring down from the East and rain coming from the West.

18.01.2022 Breast Cancer Prevention Week! Remember to do your checks Do not hesitate seeking medical attention at this time if things do not feel right

18.01.2022 Jomara has evolved over the past couple of months, as I am sure so many other businesses and people have also. For the foreseeable future we are the tiny team of Mariesa Tuesday thru Saturday and Lisa Thursday 2-8pm. So bookings are tight and you can now expect a wait of a week or 2 before an appointment is available. This will become even tighter as people return after isolating. Online booking has been disabled so that we can manage our bookings and get used to our new normal. A massive THANK YOU to our community for all the support and kindness we have shared over this time

17.01.2022 Stage 3 allows hairdressers to stay open and you to come and have your hair done. If you are crook please re-book. Please give us as much notice as possible. Face masks must now be worn your whole appointment and we have no trouble working around them. If you forget we have a small supply at $2ea. We will not be offering beverages while masks must be worn. BYO water only please, we will not be disposing of any drink containers. If you need to have a drink DO NOT put your mas...k on any of our surfaces. We suggest disposable masks if you are having colour as it will get stained. Our online booking is not available while we stay in stage 3. We have iPads for you to use while sitting with colour processing or BYO device/reading material. Our Covid cleaning processes have been in place since March and are deeply entrenched practices. We thank you for your support at this time. It is very hard to pare back as we have when we usually take such joy in serving and looking after our guests. You will still enjoy beautiful hair just not some of the trimmings for now. Best Wishes The Jomara Team See more

05.01.2022 Our coffee machine is off getting some much needed attention so for a week or 2 coffee is not on the menu. We still have tea, a range of herbals and hot choc. It would be hugely appreciated if you bring your own cup to use so we don't have to throw out so many disposables.

05.01.2022 Day by day We have been grateful to be able to stay open and connected at this time. Our heart goes out to our industry, all those who have chosen to close and to all businesses who have been shut down.

05.01.2022 To all my wonderful clients, Being thrown into the unknown makes it a scary time for us all. So many changes & so much uncertainty. Although I have not been op...en long, the decision is in health to close for the time being, but I ensure to be up & running with full force when it is safe to do so. Like many other small businesses/sole traders, I cannot afford to cease trading, but we need to ensure our health stays under control. I will be in contact with those who have upcoming appointments. This page will still be operating, so please stay tuned for further posts. Take care & look after each other Marion

04.01.2022 Being the Mum of 2 beautiful boys, what has happened in our community cuts me very deep. I have supported this on my personal page but hesitated to put it here. The shared response from women I deeply respect has given me the strength to share it here too Very recently here in Geelong we have lost 5 young boys to suicide. That's 5 lives cut short too soon... 5 families devastated 5 friend groups, sport clubs, extended family mourning In our small town 5 too many...
