21.01.2022 Throw back to this stunner! This is one of our most requested colours! Using inspo pics from the Udara Insta or FB page can be really helpful If it's our own work, we can tell you how many appointments it took to achieve the end result

20.01.2022 Scattered highlights are a great way to enhance the texture of your haircut! This textured asymmetrical bob is the perfect example

20.01.2022 Regular treatments + toners make this colour possible

19.01.2022 Today i had the absolute pleasure of donating my time & skills to help out a very brave young girl, her Mumma and Aunty. They all had MASSIVE chops to donate their hair! There's still time to donate to this great cause, so show your support, Link in comments xx

16.01.2022 Over toned ash blonde isn't for everyone but it sure looks amazing in this case!

15.01.2022 Root stretch is one of my all time fav techniques! I choose to use this method when someone wants to go from block all over blonde, to a more natural look. Or when I want to add some dimensional depth to make the blonde contrast and pop.... A root stretch is done by first placing blonde foils where we want them, then between those foils stretching the natural base level down, using a semi colour matched to the clients natural hair. This technique gives a lovely natural result, with a low maintenance regrowth. Colouring over previously lightened hair means it will fade out quicker, but with appropriate hair care the fade out will still look great

15.01.2022 Another busy week in the salon almost finished The next few weeks are looking rather hectic, so if you're after an appointment and can only do particular times, I recomended booking in 4 weeks in advance xx To book msg 0434306979 with your full name, what service you would like done, and your available times

11.01.2022 Same client Same day No edits/filters Remember lighting is everything!!!! We love those inspo photos, but don't forget photos are often highly edited (we never filter or edit our pics at Udara). We can usually recreate the look, but we can't make the natural light follow you everywhere you go ... These 2 pics were taken within minutes of each other. See more

11.01.2022 I'd like to introduce you to my new babies taking name suggestions now!! Did you know professional hairdressing scissors can range anywhere from $150 up too... well skies the limit really, but well over a thousand is pretty common too ... why??? Theres so many factors. size varies from 4.5 to 5.5 inches, or longer 6 inch commonly used for barbers. Weight, and material used. Offset handle setting to help combat RSI Blade shape depending on cutting style, blunt, slide, slice cutting to name a few. Just think of them as hand made mini samurai swords, designed for the pure purpose of hair cutting epicness! Alot of stylists use a number of different scissors to suit each individual haircut. Scissors require yearly (at bare minimum) sharpening by a professional, as well as daily oiling and blade balancing to maintain them! So next time you see a set of stunning cutters, please appreciate their greatness for the professional tool they are.... and know why we cringe when you've used kitchen scissors on your precious hair and NEVER touch them, or you'll see your hairdresser shit themselves

10.01.2022 Colour correction Pro Tip- if you know you're after a colour correction please advise your stylist, and where possible go in and have a full consultation beforehand. This will ensure there is the correct time allocated for the services you require.. ps. take snacks makeovers like this take a lot of time!

07.01.2022 Before your appointment After your appointment I even dream about it During training days I instantly think of who's hair I will use my new learnt skills on! It's consuming.... but I love it, and wouldn't have it any other way

06.01.2022 I seriously LOVE training apprentices! It has always been a real passion of mine teaching others! Helping stylists grow, learn and further their skill set is so rewarding! Extra special today as I got to be the hair model

05.01.2022 Loving being back at work!

03.01.2022 My exciting news!!! I have always wanted to be a hairdresser.... and can honestly say I still love what I do! When I had the kids, I dropped down to part-time hours, and that was the perfect choice for my family, and myself. Work was still there, but it was more so just going through the motions, if you know what I mean Since starting at Udara my passion for hairdressing has had a GIANT fire lit under it once again.... I'm in a supportive work environment where I get asked questions like "what are your goals" (until now id never had a workplace that actually encouraged goals or growth ) Anywho... mine have gone something like this: Build up my hours Train juniors Confidence in social media Gain a FULL clientele I'm super proud of myself, and I can easily say I've smashed those goals! I officially have a FULL CLIENTELE and are no longer taking on new clients (dont worry there's a waiting list and ill always do my best to work something out) Thanks to all my amazing clients for supporting me along the way! We've been through alot together and I can't wait to see what the future holds

03.01.2022 I've had a lovely week off! One more day tomorrow then back to it Christmas rush.... let's do this

01.01.2022 SO HAPPY TO BE BACK AT WORK!!!! Personally I did not thrive while in iso So I'm pleased to say I'm back, and just finished my 2nd week of full time hours... and I'm 1000% pooped
