12.01.2022 Hi all our lovely ladies. It’s that time of year again & Hair On Glebe is participating in Share the dignity #itsinthebag Xmas drive. This will be our fourth year of being apart of this great organisation .... If you would like to participate that would be awesome All you have to do is fill a bag either a hand bag, overnight bag etc with essential items such as shampoo/conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, sunscreen, sealed tampons/pads etc for an adult, mum & Bub or a teen & because it’s Xmas maybe a special card... This is a great organization helping women, children & bubs who are homeless or fleeing domestic violence . If you can drop the bags off to the salon by Friday the 27th November that would be fantastic Cheers Karen & Bec

09.01.2022 Thank you to the lovely ladies who have brought their bags in for share the dignity #itsinthebag Xmas drive. If you would still love to drop a bag off you have until the 27th November to drop off to the salon. This year has been a tough one for all & domestic violence unfortunately has risen we have more people living on the streets. Last year 135,000 bags were handed out to ladies, teenagers & bubs. So if you have a spare bag you aren’t using or want to go out & buy a ...new one & fill it with essentials like Pads/tampons Shampoo/conditioner Soap Brush Toothpaste/toothbrush Just everyday essentials we take for granted & make someone’s life a little easier it would be so appreciated. This is our 4th year of donating to this amazing charity. Cheers Karen & Bec See more

08.01.2022 I've seen a lot of nasty posts in regards to people making "non-essential" trips .. Do you ever think maybe that guy buying a gallon of paint knows he must keep busy because idle hands in the past has caused him to relapse and pick up that case of beer ? So he's using this time to do home improvements, something that keeps his mind busy while feeling a sense of accomplishment, trying to avoid painful triggers while possibly alone ? Or maybe that lady buying bags of soil and s...eeds, hasn't struggled with depression and suicide ? How do you know that planting and watching something beautiful grow during this time of darkness , isn't essential to her and holding on to what little hope she might still have .. We need to remember that it is impossible to know just by looking at a situation from "our" small lens what someone is truly going through or where their mental health is at . Everyone handles chaos and healing through different means and I know we are all on edge but please stop being so judgmental of others. #mentalhealthisnumberone I Copied & Pasted go ahead and continue to do the same ! Pick up a Ring a friend Have you downloaded house party app ? If not do so & connect with your family Sit & actually have a conversation with people you live with, & actually listen You are not trapped in your house go & sit in your garden or on your veranda. Sooo many things to do. Don’t get bogged down mentally in this. This to shall pass & imagine all the fun times ahead with family & friends we all miss so much Big Air hugs to you all
