21.01.2022 Next time you go to a shop or salon and there's an employee standing at the door, whose job it is to turn you away if you don't have a mask, remember: He/she is... probably scared as hell to even have to be in that position. They have no political affiliation with this; they may even be against it. They're just performing the requirements of their job. Last but least, remember...they are considered essential. They are not collecting unemployment. They have bills to pay. Please show kindness and respect

14.01.2022 $1.2 BILLION APPRENTICE EMPLOYMENT INCENTIVE Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business has announced a $1.2... billion investment to support businesses to employ 100,000 new apprentices and trainees. Commencing on 5 October 2020, businesses who take on a new Australian apprentice will be eligible for a 50 per cent wage subsidy. The subsidy will be available to employers of any size or industry, Australia-wide, who engage an Australian apprentice or trainee from 5 October 2020 until the 100,000 cap is reached. Employers will be eligible for 50 per cent of the wages for a new or recommencing apprentice or trainee for the period up to 30 September 2021, up to maximum of $7,000 per quarter. This builds on the existing $2.8 billion invested in the Supporting Apprentices and Trainees wage subsidy that is assisting employers to retain their apprentices and trainees. Further information will be available over the next few days.
