23.01.2022 * C L I E N T S T O R Y * Sophie's hair is super super fine and constant highlighting over the years has taken its toll. She is also looking to gain more length. We have tried all of the repairing treatments in the world but, by her own admittance, they don’t work sitting in her bathroom cupboard! So we decided it was time to go darker and allow her hair to repair. She explained that she has done this before but she hated it because it was too dark, although her hair condi...tion did feel better. So we looked through some images and I found the perfect tone and depth to match her skin colour. We used Revlon Color Excell which is gentle on hair and is perfect for depositing depth and tone. We dropped her depth by 3 levels and added a beautiful soft tone that complemented her skin color beautifully. Around her fringe I contoured her face with some highlights to ensure she felt still lighter and natural. The result - Sophie absolutely loved her new colour and for the first time ever she loved being dark

06.01.2022 We love New York Fashion Week and we especially enjoy watching the creative hairstyles on the runway. So here's my take on this weeks runway looks I loved the Anna Sui inspired ‘Bohemian Rock Goddess'. The hair at the front was back combed and rolled back into ‘victory rolls’ like a rock n roll quiff. Loved the feel, look and simplicity of execution from ‘Chromat’ where hair is braided with ribbon or glittery fabric, intwined then pulled back into pony tails.... La Quan inspired me with the models all wearing African inspired long rope twists and ‘Nano bangs’ (thin vertical fringe), inspired by 90s R&B artists. Badgley Mischka turns hair accessories on their head by wearing headbands upside down to decorate the nape under a high top bun. Super cute! Jo
