12.01.2022 Let’s talk LIGHTING All of these photos were taken by me, seconds apart, same hair, different lighting (or even different focus), no editing, no filters. Crazy right!? Lighting is so important when it comes to hair colours - especially blondes. Sometimes even the ashiest blondes (even silver) can look a little warm and vice versa. Unless your hair is literally black you’re going to experience this. Even the camera/phone you use to take hair photos makes a huge difference.

07.01.2022 How to Maintain Balayage Read on for more info The amazing thing about balayage colour is that you can forego your old school 6 weekly touch ups and opt for less regular in-salon maintenance. Toners should generally still be done in salon every 8-12 weeks to keep your colour from looking brassy, and pair your toner with a trim, treatment and blowdry for a luxe and healthy result. Relightening only needs to be done when you either want a lighter and brighter look and.../or your existing balayage is starting to look droopy (generally people notice this around their face at the six month mark). Being able to stretch your appointments out so long only works when you’re using salon quality products at home. If you’re not using colour safe shampoo and conditioner you’re literally just stripping out the toner each wash, and if you’re not using treatments your ends will be like cya sis I’m splitting.
