As I’ve told many of my clients in the past breaking through box/packet colour can be challenging because it penetrates so deep into the hair cuticle it can be a pain to remove without compromising the hair. If yo...u come to me and say Rena I wanna be platinum blonde in one go but I’ve been colouring my hair black/brown with box colour for years and I don’t want any orange I want it silver today I’ll say hell to the no girlfriend it’s not going to happen. These things take time, and professional home hair care is an absolute must so that your hair is and stays in the best condition without any silicone build up. In this case, if my client wanted to go lighter we would need to do this process again a third time. But we were happy with the level of lightness and tone achieved after our second session & she only used box colour once.
