04.01.2022 The Benefits of silk . The silk pillow case has always been a thing , something from my nans time but until recently I didn’t realise they were onto such a good thing . Silk pillow cases work in 2 ways... 1. The smooth nature of silk prevents friction on our hair and skin , thus preventing skin wrinkles , bed hair , frizz and it can also help with our style longevity too 2. Silk naturally doesn’t draw as much moisture from our skin and hair compared to the regular cotton pillowcases again helping with all of the above . So you may ask about your split ends and breakage if you are unfortunate enough to suffer from these . Silk pillow cases will not cure this but it can assist by not absorbing as much moisture from the hair as a regular pillowcase and causing less friction on the hair meaning the hair will certainly stress less.
