21.01.2022 Good news today! From the 28th of September dog grooming will be allowed to re commence :) We have been getting bombarded with messages and have spent hours booking and rebooking since the news dropped.... Thanks to everyone who signed the petition! We will be seeing your doggies soon!

21.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just a quick post to inform anyone who isn't in the know about the dog grooming booking situation at the moment. Currently any reputable dog groomer is booked weeks and possibly months in advance due to the backlog as a result of lockdowns. If you think you furry friend is looking at needing a clip anytime soon I would advise you to get cracking and book in asap.... Currently we are booked out until late October. I have done all I can to push through as many appointments as humanly possible as I know many of you guys have been patiently waiting and we thank you for that and greatly appreciate the loyalty and support. I would also like to advise everyone that later in the year coming into summer that bookings will start filling soon. If you want bookings around Christmas so your little ones are looking at their best, get in early! Thanks again everyone! We are looking forward to seeing everyone and all our little (and big) canine friends. May is extremely excited to pick up the tools and get cracking once again. Until then stay safe and let's all take care of each other! Ben and May :)

19.01.2022 Hi everyone, It's with a heavy heart that I write this message to let you all know that we will have to close from Wednesday night for the 6 weeks. We hope everyone understands this is not our choice and while it is sad we can't stay open we know its in Victoria's best interest that everyone stays home unless necessary. ... From what we understand at this time all home based salons and mobile groomers are to suspend business. It is possible that grooming salons within pet stores such as Best friends and Petbarn are still operating (dont ask me how this is safer than either other option) but if you are in dire need then this is probably your only option in the next 6 weeks. May will be rebooking with those who were already booked in over August giving priority to those who were first in line. I know this is a massive inconvenience to all but sadly we have no control over anything and I hope that you can understand and bear with us over this testing time. We hope and look forward to seeing you all sometime in September so we can give your little ones the pampering they deserve! Ben and May.

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, Back to lockdown! Bugger. Hopefully not too long. As we are unsure at this point whether the lockdown will end on Wednesday (I am very doubtful) we will put bookings on hold for the time being. For those that have booked over the coming weeks we will do our absolute best to see that we reschedule everyone as soon as possible.... I'd also like to take this opportunity while I have your attention to give you the heads up on bookings. Since lockdown ended in Sep/Oct May has been constantly working 6 days a week to keep up with bookings, with the help of myself on the odd occasion. Currently May is about a month booked out in advance, we had expected being summer that the volume of bookings would remain high but I have been telling May for a long time now that as word of mouth spreads her job would speak for itself and her clientele would grow too large to manage in a short time frame. We have many bookings asking for anywhere from 'today' to 'within the next week', I can safely say that the days of May fitting people in on that short of notice are gone. Her cancellation line is never empty so I urge you guys if you want your pups to be groomed when you ideally want them done to get on a schedule and pre book your next (or 6) appointment(s) as you leave. Thanks everyone, stay safe. Ben and May.

18.01.2022 Dog Poisoned by the Diffuser Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terr...or. Sunday, he was still acting weird. I realized that I had been running my new diffuser and decided to turn it off. Sunday afternoon, he was feeling better. Today at work, my dog sitter said that he wouldn't come out from under the bed. It was very odd as he is a happy dog. I came from work early and again, he was very confused about who I was. So I took him to emergency vet. It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs. Thankfully the test showed that his liver was ok but we weren't out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under his skin to get the toxins out. The vet and the poison control are saying that they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oil is growing. Please make sure that the essential oils you are burning are not toxic for your pets. Here is a list of essential oils not to use if you have a dog at home Anise (Pimpinella anisum) Birch (Betula) Bitter Almond (Prunus dulcis) Boldo (Peumus boldus) Calamus (Acorus calamus) Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora) Cassia (Cassia fistula) Chenopodium (Chenopodium album) Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum) Garlic (Allium sativum) Goosefoot (Chenopodium murale) Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) Hyssop (Hyssopus sp. with the exception of Decumbens) Juniper (Juniperus sp. with the exception of Juniper Berry) Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) Mustard (Brassica juncea) Oregano (Origanum vulgare) Pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium) Red or White Thyme Rue (Ruta graveolens) Santolina (Santolina chamaecyparissus) Sassafras (Sassafras albidum) Savory (Satureja) Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) Terebinth (Pistacia palaestina) Thuja (Thuja occidentalis) Wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens) Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Please share this story as it may save someones precious furry family member!

05.01.2022 Following up from our previous post Stage 3 restrictions are expected to come into effect from the 19th of October if cases are where they need to be. If we do go to stage 3 people with bookings from the 19th onwards will remain booked in. If you have already looked elsewhere and found an appointment please let us know so we can free up that allocated appointment for someone else.... Thanks Ben and May

03.01.2022 Sorry guys. Bad news. Straight from the premiers mouth only retail grooming stores are allowed. We will send out individual messages to all but for now we are letting everyone know until stage 3 restrictions are on we need to close doors again. ... Very frustrating for us as if anything residential groomers are safer than retail stores. I know it will be very disappointing for you all and we are sorry that we can't do anything to help. We are sorry that at this time you aren't likely to be able to get in anywhere until we reopen and that booking with us has cost you that option. In regards to booking in once we reopen we won't be taking bookings for now as I don't want to have to get everyone's hopes up and dash them again. I will keep list of who was booked and ring them giving priority to who was first when we know for sure we can re open. We are so sorry and can't wait till this is all behind us. Ben and May.
