21.01.2022 COVID 19 - IMPORTANT UPDATE Clients, please be mindful that when you have your hair done you are coming into our home, so please don't bring any bugs with you. If you have the flu, flu like symptoms or have recently travelled overseas please call to reschedule your appointment for at least 2+ weeks. I have some family members who are immuno-compromised therefor would be at great risk of serious illness or worse if they are exposed to this virus. ... Thankyou for understanding. Stacy

19.01.2022 Attention Clients Unfortunately there are some grey area's regarding hairdressers working from home!! Due to the ‘household bubble’ rule: I am NOT allowed to service clients from my home at this stage. I had heard whispers...however, I sought confirmation from Business Victoria this morning. ... Unfortunately, if I were to continue working from home, I would be in breach of directions from the Chief Health Officer and risk large fines for both myself and clients. Business Victoria did convey to me, that they are actively seeking to have this rule overturned as soon as possible, so that people can get back to work. I understand this is inconvenient and frustrating for clients, believe me, I am extremely frustrated too. Hopefully we can be back in the salon together ASAP. 19.01.2022 Unfortunately with the latest numbers of Covid-19 in the local area, I have made the decision to close my salon again, effective immediately..... The health & safety of my family, clients & myself is the top priority. As much as I will miss all my beautiful clients, it will only be temporary and hopefully I will have you all back in the salon very soon!! WE ARE RE-OPENING (just a little differently) Limited opening days while children and myself are still remote learning 1 on 1 appointments to abide by social distancing regulations (will limit appointments available)... No extra's under any circumstances, including children No colour correction services No magazines supplied, happy for you to BYO Sanitising chairs and equipment between clients Whilst I am doing EVERYTHING I can to keep you safe, the ‘hands on’ nature of my work means that, there is no way to dramatically minimise the risk of transmission between myself and my clients. I would urge any of you who might have underlying heath issues or in a high risk category OR if you care for someone who does/is, to seriously consider whether having your hair done is absolutely essential. As we open up and move around our communities, there will be more outbreaks, so it’s important to understand the risks. Also, if you have/had respiratory symptoms eg. Cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose etc. within the last 14 days, please re-schedule, especially as you are entering our home. If you have had an appointment that has been cancelled/missed while we have been closed I will be in contact regarding rescheduling as soon as possible. 10.01.2022 WE ARE RE-OPENING Hair On Merri is excited to announce we are opening for appointments again from next week. With Covid numbers down and stable I feel we are safe enough to have clients in the salon again. I have exams and placement coming up again though, so days and times are limited.... I will be in contact with clients I had to cancel and they wil get priority of appointments. Thank you for you support over this tricky time & I can't wait to have you all in the chair again soon.
