As we enter into the final week before Christmas, before you get upset or angry with your Beauty Therapist/Hairdresser for running 10 minutes behind, or for selling out of that product you wanted, or for not being able to squeeze you in... PLEASE try to remember: *We know we might be running late, we are already distressed and feeling bad about it.. we know your time is precious and we are doing our best to catch up! *We might be feeling anxious about our next client who’s husband or wife or parent has been unwell, and we are praying that they don’t come in and have to tell us any bad news. *We might have just finished crying with a client who has just lost a parent, or spouse, or child... knowing that their Christmases will never feel the same again. *We are possibly missing out on our own social/family event so we can make sure you look and feel fabulous for yours. *Remember to thank your lucky stars if you were on our cancellation list and we have called you to offer you an appointment that has become available...... because our client who had to cancel their appointment has just been diagnosed with cancer and has to go into hospital for urgent surgery. *Please don’t make a fuss if we have to excuse ourselves from treating you because we have to help the little old man who comes in every Christmas to buy his wife a gift voucher because he knows how much she loves to feel special. *We were working until after 8pm last night and we were back at work before 8am this morning.... we are also a bit tired but we will still welcome you warmly when you arrive and wish you a Merry Christmas as you leave. *Take note, we will be the ones on Christmas Day without our hair freshly done, without our fingers and toes manicured and pedicured, without that beautiful post-facial glow (that’s highlighter girlfriend!)... because any free time we had this week was spent either doing extra hours at work, or making sure our own family and loved ones will have gifts to open on Christmas Day and a beautiful meal provided for them! So, if you or someone you know has had or will have an appointment with a hairdresser or beauty therapist this festive season, please SHARE this post and remember to BE KIND.
