24.01.2022 Client: I need a change but I am not sure what, I want low maintenance.

24.01.2022 This is me and my mom. This is us. We have been teaching and learning and growing together in this ever evolving industry since I was little. We share a passion. My mom is nearing the end of her 60’s and still takes pride in her craft. We share new ideas, new product discoveries and even help each other troubleshoot when things are complex. I have been working with hair for over 20 years and still love what I do, this I learned from my mom, she is my best friend, my support and more than anything my inspiration. I love that my job/passion has allowed us to stay close even though we live so far apart. These moments captured here are something I savour.

23.01.2022 You know those days when you just need to feel a little special? At a time when nothing feels normal and feeling special feels like hard work sometimes we just need to go that little extra mile and make that effort. This gorgeous woman has her 10th wedding anniversary today in ISO, it’s true, she doesn’t need to do a thing and she looks stunning but I love that at a time like this she went the distance. Hope you feel as special as you truly are. Happy anniversary!! X

22.01.2022 Smooth transitions!

22.01.2022 Sometimes it’s about the journey together. Finding a colour that is both practical and friggin awesome takes time. It’s worth taking the time and using the right products for your hair. Love this before and after. Lovin the journey.

21.01.2022 Does this chair have your name on it? Feeling a bit drab? Covid got your regrowth lookin frightening? Well I have great news! I have had a colour appointment open up tomorrow! Please call 0405719249 of your needing a little love. Payment options available. Maybe it’s time to do something nice for yourself....

21.01.2022 Adapting. That is what we all need to be doing right now. This is what I have been working on in order to continue working and offering a safe service where people can still relax and enjoy having their hair done. There are a few things I need from you when you enter the hair salon during this time; before you come please call ahead to confirm that I am on schedule to ensure there are no more than two people in the salon at the same time. Upon entering please go straight to t...he sink and wash your hands. Each seat, bench and all tools will have already have been sterilised with a hospitable grade disinfectant prior to your arrival. I will be dressed in a mask and with gloves also to keep the both of us safe. The doors will be kept open to ensure fresh air is constant. PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOURE FEELING EVEN SLIGHTLY UNWELL. I don’t want to sound arrogant but this is probably safer than a grocery store or any other shop. We are lucky that my business is small and this is all possible. I have been isolating and not going to shops or friends homes for over two weeks now to protect myself and my guests. We all need to work together. If you’re nervous please call ahead to discuss or reschedule. For clients who do not cancel and fail to show up unfortunately I will be charging a 30% cancellation fee. Please stay safe and well during this time, let’s all adapt together. #adaptingtochangeinbusiness See more

19.01.2022 Before and after.... Want those ends that pop and natural roots that last? These things take time but look great for ages. #summerhair #olaplex #banthebrass

17.01.2022 I have had a last minute colour cancellation for tomorrow if anyone is in need. Please call 0405719249. Do not message on Facebook please as I don’t check often enough.

14.01.2022 Today is a new day in this crazy virus journey. I have been given 30 min per person. This makes no sense and actually exposes me to more people...... however I am still able to operate and I am adapting. Appointments will made in 30 minute intervals. Today is about giving people softer and more natural colours that will last longer until we are all able to come out into normal life again. We are all in this together and need to work together to adapt.

14.01.2022 This guest hasn’t been back for 8 months. Doing a colour that looks natural can last the distance. #colourthatlasts

13.01.2022 Some guidelines for people stuck at home. The DO’s and DON’Ts of Hair Care During Quarantine DO:... - Use a temporary root concealer spray or powder to cover grays - Use this time to give your hair a little break from heat styling and coloring - Indulge in some deep conditioning and hair masks to hydrate and repair your hair - If you have oily hair and you wash it every day, this is a great time to try and train your hair to become more balanced by skipping days between washes - Try new looks like wearing your natural curl, switching your part, or sweeping your grown out bangs to the side - Practice using your curling iron or fine tune your blowout skills using your round brush and blow dryer. - Learn how to do different types of braid and ponytail styles by watching videos - Try on hats and play with accessories like clips, headbands, scarves, and scrunchies - Tie and pin hair back away from the face when you must go out for any reason. This will help you avoid having to touch your face when your hair gets in your way. - Continue to show your support for your stylist and your local salons! Ask about purchasing gift cards to use at future appointments, blow out packages, and hair care products. DON’T: - Color your own hair with box colour!! If you have been box colouring your hair for years and you DON’T regularly get your color done at the salon, continue as is. But if you are someone who maintains your color at a salon, box dying of any kind may result in a total hair disaster that you will be stuck with until you can make it back to your salon. Then, you will need an expensive color correction. - Cut your own hair (including bangs/fringe!!) - Cut or color anyone else’s hair - Neglect yourself- even if you aren’t going anywhere, it feels good to look good! - Switch to drugstore shampoo, conditioner, treatments, or styling products. These products leave buildup on the hair which can lead to a multitude of issues including breakage, oily scalp, dry ends, flakes, brittleness, knotty hair, and color fade. Ask your salon to send you your usual products and stock up! This advise courtesy of Amanda Kafer

07.01.2022 When you’re a busy workin mom and you have the kids do the laundry this week...

06.01.2022 ADAPTIVE. Apparently now the 30 min time limit has been lifted. This week are are focusing on longer lasting colour something that grows out gracefully. It may not be the fashion colour you saw last week on the internet, right now times are uncertain and we need to consider adapting our colours to make them last for a while. I believe we will all be shut down soon. If you’re in the market to adapt your colour let me know. Stay safe and well.

04.01.2022 This colour needs to be redone every 4-6 months. Gorgeous low maintenance. #Bundeenahair #bundeenahairdresser #bayalage #b3brazilianbondbuilder

04.01.2022 Today I had to face Miranda shopping centre... I was not looking forward to it. Lowe’s was where I had to go to get my daughter some winter school pants. I have had a bad track record with this store as they always seem to be sold out of my daughter’s super small size. As I stood in a socially distant line up I watched this man absolutely lose his crap at the woman serving him. He ended up leaving in a huff. The next lady was also frustrated as they seemed to be sold out of m...ost things. When it was my turn I asked her if she was ok? She started to fight the tears. It had been several days of coping abuse from frustrated patrons, and they didn’t have the staff to give this woman a break. I decided to not get upset they were again out of what we needed and went to buy her a coffee. I was talking to the man serving me at the coffee shop and he had been experiencing the same issues because people couldn’t sit to enjoy their coffee. It blew my mind. These people were serving! In times like this with all the uncertainty and confusion people in the service industry are at the front line facing the public. I think it is important to not dump our stress on others and remember compassion. I hope that one random act of kindness turned that woman’s day around and that one day she is able to pay it forward. 04.01.2022 This is the same person on the same day, same time, different places in the room...These two pictures I am using to show how light reflects on hair. When you bring me an Instagram photo and ask for that exact blonde please remember a lot of these photos on the internet have been edited or a ring light was used. Depending on the room you’re in or the light you’re under your hair will look different. But seriously how gorgeous is this blonde?

01.01.2022 So far we haven’t been shut down. I feel it coming. If anyone is wanting to have their hair done before we are all locked down I am opening my salon extra days and hours. We are taking extra precautions, I have hospital grade disinfectant, a super mask! And enough space to meet the distance needed to be safe. Let me know if you would like to move your appointment sooner. Call 0405719249! Stay safe and well. X
