23.01.2022 Minor procedures or colloquially 'lumps and bumps' is the term we use for an in rooms procedure performed under local anaesthetic. For patient convenience this can be done on the same day as the consultation reducing time off work and specialist visits. Many conditions that affect the skin cause the formation of lumps and bumps on the surface or below the skin. Some of the common masses include cysts, lipomas, neurofibromas, cherry angioma, dermatofibromas, folliculitis, hema...toma Often suspicious skin lesions that may or may not be skin cancers are removed We have a treatment room with all the equipment necessary to perform minor surgery including single use disposable instruments for patient safety. All lesions removed from patients are sent for histological examination and a definitive diagnosis is obtained Contact Us www.halekulanimedical.com.au 0243058804 [email protected] #HalekulaniMedicalCenter #medicalcenter #medical #medicaldoctor #medicallife #MedicalCare #medicalsupplies #medicalclinic #acknowledgmentofcountry #mentalhealth #vaccinations #healthcare #cryotherapy #ironinfusions #minorprocedures #doctor

23.01.2022 We are now providing Iron Infusions under the supervision of our GPs at Halekulani Medical Center. Iron infusions are prescribed for Iron Deficiency Anemia If a person has anemia, they can feel tired, have a rapid heartbeat, and may even have difficulty breathing. An iron infusion may be used for someone with an iron deficiency when oral supplements do not work. It's a more immediate treatment than tablets or dietary changes. This can be very helpful in situations where anemi...a is severe. The physical benefits of an iron infusion include increased energy and easier breathing. 17.01.2022 Vaccination is the best defence against the Flu. By getting your Flu shot, you’re not just protecting yourself, you’re also protecting vulnerable people who cannot receive the vaccine themselves such as young babies less than six months old and those who have low immunity T. The flu vaccine stimulates the body to make antibodies, which fight the influenza virus. If you have been vaccinated, when you encounter the virus, your body is better prepared to destroy it, which helps ...prevent getting the flu. 16.01.2022 At Halekulani Medical Center our experienced GPs can apply liquid nitrogen to skin lesions to freeze them and treat them. Cryotherapy, which literally means 'cold therapy', is a very quick, non-surgical technique that can be performed by an experienced GP. It employs liquid nitrogen to remove skin lesions by freezing the skin cells until they die and fall off. The freezing treatment normally involves 5-10 seconds of the liquid spray being applied locally to the target area, w...ith a break between treatment cycles. The duration and number of treatment cycles depend on the skin type and the nature of the problem. The procedure is very quick, depending on the thickness and size of the lesion.. Over the days following treatment, a scab will form, this will take a couple of weeks to fall off this process cannot be hurried. Depending on the response of the tissue treated, follow up sessions may be required." 10.01.2022 Why should we wear a mask? Masks are simple barriers to reduce the spray of droplets when worn over the nose and mouth, and prevent them from reaching others. COVID spreads mainly trough respiratory droplets when talking, singing, coughing or sneezing. These droplets can land in the mouths and noses of people who are near, or they may breathe these droplets in. Masks should be worn, even if the person doesn't feel sick, because some people never develop symptoms (asymptomat...ic) and some may not show symptoms yet (pre-symptomatic), but can still spread the virus to others. Halekulani Medical Center encourages everyone to be part of the solution and help fight this virus! See more
