24.01.2022 This morning I hit the road bright and early to officiate a special remembrance service on the Gold Coast. At the end of a peaceful pier in the morning sun, I shared words with a small group of people who had united in support for a beautiful young couple, Ariane and Damien, who are grieving the loss of their daughter Bella. She was born prematurely at 21 weeks and lived for 13 precious minutes. Bella was too fragile to survive, but for these first time parents-to-be, marking... and celebrating her life meant everything and more. Infant loss is a very personal journey - its not black and white, theres no right or wrong way to cope with it. But I do know that having a chance to acknowledge their grief, their love and their gratitude meant the world. We heard a poem written by Bellas mum, Ariane. We recited inspiring words about life after infant loss, from author Rebecca Sparrow. There were songs played and balloons released into the sky too. Fly high little Bella, you will always be so loved and so missed See more

20.01.2022 15.02.20 | Rhys + Samantha Mother Nature may have tested us that day, but she shone in all her glory, nestled away here in the forest. I just loved marrying these two, their ceremony was so much fun. A mini festival at Kinglake, with all their best friends! They said I do 10 years to the day since becoming a couple.... Heres a small piece of their love story, through the brides eyes... You were my first ever boyfriend. I loved your big brown eyes, your emo hair, and your ability to tell the best stories. I still remember the first time you told me you loved me. You said it super quickly, as you tackle-hugged me into a wall. You have made the last 10 years of my life so much fun, so fulfilling and adventurous. Congratulations

18.01.2022 New Zealand is a land of volcanoes. They have shaped the landscape and even coloured beaches black, with minerals and iron oxide. If there was ever a perfect spot for a bride in white to shine, it is here, on beautiful Bethells Beach. Stephanie and John looked a billion bucks that day and we had such an amazing time. That cathedral veil is having plenty of fun dancing in the breeze too - oh the drama! S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.

12.01.2022 18.03.18 | Jason + Adrian Ill never forget this love party - nestled away in a snug bluestone chapel on the outskirts of Daylesford. 09.01.2022 Australia is burning and my heart is so broken Our skies are filled with toxic smoke. Our conversations heavied by sadness and rage. Communities are in a state of trauma. Our flora and fauna, terrorised. Through all of this, I remain in awe of our courageous firefighters and the people battling to survive on the frontline. Heartening too, is the movement of people and entire industries to band together to lead practical, grassroots initiatives to rebuild lives. ... I am but one small business owner, but I have donated to first response charities and will be buying everything I possibly can from local businesses in bushfire affected areas for the next ... well, ever. #SpendWithThem My job is to bring love to peoples lives. So I stand with you, Australia. With love and compassion, for the long haul. Hales x

Mr and Mrs Dixon, it was such a pleasure to help with the I dos ... I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

02.01.2022 Right before I marry a couple is a calm and special time. I rehearse and triple check all the details - then stop to take it all in, bit by bit. Weddings are often hosted in places of natural beauty and significance, and this is one of my favourite spots at Baie Wines. Just like a movie set, pretty as a rose, waiting for the crowd to arrive

02.01.2022 Im meeting with new clients and writing ceremonies today ... from this very romantic office in #Sorrento! This is my current view from the villa. A perfect spot to write about love, dont you think?
