25.01.2022 Semi-Site-Plan becoming the Norm The coloured floor plan of a property, showing its immediate surroundings (pool, driveway, alfresco areas, perhaps a carport or shed, some of the lawn) does seem to be becoming our standard format. We call them a semi-site-plan, just because we couldn't think of a better description. I guess people want to see how they can live their lives, and so want to know about the indoor / outdoor living areas, and whether you can watch the kids on the l...awn or in the pool while you're cooking the dinner. Here's one we prepared earlier ... Often, showing the whole block, right up to the boundaries, can shrink the property on the floorplan page - and of course the main aim of the floorplan is to show the property layout - so this is often counterproductive. The best compromise seems to be a semi-site-plan. Halfwaytree does still do the full range of plans, so not problem if you prefer them in B&W, just the house layout, or the full site plan.

06.01.2022 We are delighted to announce that the much anticipated Pullenvale postcard has finally gone to print. The Pullenvale postcard will be the latest addition to this popular range of local interest postcards, and is probably the most requested suburb of all (closely followed by Fig Tree Pocket ... watch this space !). It should be in the shops by the middle of the month. The postcard has changed format during its design stage and now features images of the Pullenvale Environmenta...l Education Centre, the iconic Pullenvale Hall, and a shot taken this time last year, showing Pullenvale during Jacaranda season. This third image, taken from Primley Street and looking along O'Brien Road, shows a typical Pullenvale scene, with acreage properties dotted amongst the extensive bush. A number of images were dropped for this postcard, including the Fire & Rescue station (which is actually very photogenic), a couple of parks, and a stunning sunrise shot. If this postcard proves as popular as we anticipate, these images will be used for a second Pullenvale postcard in the near future. Our thanks go to the Manager and staff at the Environmental Education Centre for their assistance during the photography, and indeed for their approval of the use of the image. 01.01.2022 Dusk Photo vs Twilight Photo - You decide ! The upper photo was taken just as the sun was setting, on around a 4 second exposure. The ambient light is approximately equal to the artificial light from the windows. Plenty of light still in the alcoves. The lower photo was taken after the sun had set, on around a 30 second exposure. The deep blue colour of the sky contrasts against the artificial light coming through the windows. Very eyecatching.... Which do you think was used as the Lead Photo in the marketing ?
