10.01.2022 Are you ready for Single Touch Payroll? STP is a government initiative which will require real time reporting for employers of payroll information directly to the ATO. Key Facts - ... 1. It will become compulsory for most employers from 1 July 2019. If you only pay yourself or a family member, you will now be deferred until 1 July 2020. 2. You will be required to report payments such as salaries and wages, PAYG Withholding and Superannuation Guarantee information on each pay run for your employees, directly from your payroll software. 3. Your software must be compliant. If you are currently recording your payroll manually, get in contact with us and we will assist in organising a software solution for you! 05.01.2022 ATO SCAM! With scammers becoming more and more clever, Here's our three top tips! #1 - Never give out any personal information. This includes your tax file number, date of birth, credit card or bank details. ... #2 - Robovoices & automated voice messages will not be left by the ATO. If you receive a phone call, hang up. If an automated voicemail is left in your message bank, delete it. #3 - The ATO will not do the following: Demand immediate payment of tax debt via direct credit to a personal bank account, via iTunes or Google Play cards, pre-paid Visa cards, or cryptocurrency. If in doubt, you can always double check the status of your tax affairs with your accountant. Give us a call and our friendly staff will assist you!
