23.01.2022 Well we couldnt have asked for a more enjoyable and entertaining rally! The sun was out, it was warm enough for apple bobbing, and the riders all got stuck into some obstacles and games! This rally we set up some obstacles such as a tarp and tunnel, and played some games such as egg and spoon, sack race, and apple bobbing!!... All the riders and horses had a fantastic time before coming in for a shared lunch and presents, and then moving on to a costume parade after lunch. Well done everyone! And as always a massive thank you to Sarah and Kelly for instructing, and for joining in on the games!

23.01.2022 We had a delightful day this rally, with our riders thoroughly enjoying the sunny weather as well as having some more practice at flat-work, cross country, showjumping, and some very important theory as well come into winter regarding the body condition of our horses! The biggest of thank-yous to our lovely instructors for the day who hadn t taught here before! You were fantastic and we really appreciate you coming out on Melbourne 3 Day/Queens Birthday weekend as we know this is a busy time of year for many in the horse community! Cant wait for next rally!

21.01.2022 Wow!! I think its safe to say that we all had a fantastic weekend at Werribee Pony Club for their annual horse trials! HVPC had 3 riders in grade 4 and 3 in grade 5 - and it was all our Grade 5 girls first ever horse trials competition! Great job girls, you all did fantastic and I cant wait to see you improve even more in the coming year! Our riders and their horses all enjoyed a fantastic 3 days of riding, learning courses, and hanging out with their fellow club members and... horses! Massive, massive thanks to Werribee Pony Club for running such a fantastic event, and the assistant DC would like to say an extra special thank-you to all the parents and riders for being so wonderfully supportive of one another. There wasnt one second of the entire weekend that I didnt see smiles on faces, encouraging words being spoken, and little helpful tips being shared by our members. I am so so proud of everyone and definitely cant wait for next year!

21.01.2022 Another wonderful year has come to an end and although this post is extremely overdue we have finally gotten around to putting up our Xmas rally photos for all to see! 2018s December rally saw us learning the ins and outs of sport-horse games with assistance from the lovely people at Sporting Horse Australia!! Our riders had an absolute ball trying out all the different games and challenges that are required of a sport horse participant, ranging from barrel racing to pole be...nding and everything in between. We then shared a delightful lunch in which everyone bought a plate fo food to share, and Santa even visited us in the afternoon. Our next rally will be in February! 19.01.2022 What a lovely day we had today! All our riders did spectacularly and the DC was very impressed with everyones efforts. Our riders enjoyed doing some grid work, flat work, games, and going for a nice little trail ride in the afternoon for something a little bit different!... Huge thanks as always to our instructors Kelly and Sarah!!

19.01.2022 What a fantastic day! We welcomed 9 come and try riders this rally and everyone did brilliantly! We are now taking adult rider memberships so feel free to message the page if you are interested in a come and try day! Massive thank you to our fantastic instructors Sarah, Kelly, and Ellyse. You are all fantastic and I cant thank you enough for all the help and encouragement you give your riders.... Our riders enjoyed a mix of flatwork, theory, jumping, and poles today as well as some games for the younger kids to enjoy. A fantastic rally! Looking forward to our next one on March 29th (Note the date change due to the long weekend on our normal 2nd Sunday!)

17.01.2022 What a lovely morning had by all! The weather was perfect for our rally today and I think our riders thoroughly enjoyed riding in the sunshine rather that the rain! This morning saw our riders doing some showjumping, flatwork, and cross country. Unfortunately, the photographer had to leave after the morning sessions but Im sure a great time was also had in the afternoon! All our riders did an incredible job, and I know the assistant DC is consistently impressed by the improv...ement in everyones skills between each rally! Great job girls! The photographer also sincerely apologises for the rider bias in these photos - as it was his daughters first rally back after 5 years! As our rally fell on the 11th of the 11th, we also participated in a minute of silence to honour the brave soldiers and horses who fought and died for our country. May they rest in peace.

16.01.2022 Cold, wet, and windy - and our dedicated riders and instructors still carried on with the day! This rally we decided just to ride for the morning, as the rain soaked both our rider, horses, and instructors down to the bone! We dabbled in a bit of flatwork and cavaletti training before coming inside for lunch and calling it quits after wed all warmed up a little by the fire!... Huge pat on the back and thankyou to our brilliant instructors Sarah and Kelly for braving the rain and cold to teach our kids! Looking forward to our next rally - hopefully it will be a tad less cold!

14.01.2022 Quite a chilly old day this time around but heaps of fun as always! As it was mothers day we only rode for a 1/2 day this rally, so we did some flatwork and the cross country much to our riders delight! All the girls rode fantastically and the horses did a great job, we always see so much improvement from rally to rally!!... Huge thankyou to Sarah and Paula for coming out to teach even though it was very cold and mothers day too!! After riding we had a lovely lunch for all our mums/dads/supporters which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We run rallies on the 2nd Sunday of each month at Ivens Reserve in Narre Warren, and like to give our riders a taste of all aspects of the horse world as you can see in the photos below and in our photo albums! Some things our riders have done recently and in previous years include games, musical/team rides, beach rides, polocrosse, track riding demonstrations, and visits to the ...Melbourne 3 Day Event! 07.01.2022 What a gorgeous day for pony club! Sunny and warm, our riders enjoyed a day of flat work,. poles, grid, and games to top it all off. Our riders did a fantastic job today and we are all consistently impressed with their supportive attitudes towards each-other and how they improve as riders each rally Huge thanks to our instructors Sarah and Ash for coming along!

05.01.2022 A great start to the new year as we welcomed back all our riders for our Feb rally. This rally we did a bit of everything - from showjumping, to gridwork, to dressage, and cross country. We are also preparing the finishing touches for our Combined Training Day to be held on March 3rd! Entries are still open and we would love to see you there - limited places available for Open 3 and 4, and for Pony Club 6,5,4, and 3!... 04.01.2022 What a great day! This rally we did a bit of show preparation for our group of riders competing at Werribee Pony Club Horse Trials in 2 week! I think its safe to say that all our riders are pretty excited for this competition - as are the DC and Assistant DC! Our September rally consisted of dressage test practice in the morning for all riders, then some showjumping for our younger group, and cross country for the older girls. After lunch we were lucky enough to have our two... West Gippsland Zone Games Ambassadors Brooke and Chloe teaching us all how to do the different types of games they both do in competitions! The assistant DC was particularly impressed at all our riders efforts with the games - super proud of you all for giving it a go and I saw so much improvement from everyone in just one lesson! (Its also sure to be a great day when one of the parents brings their two orphan lambs down for the day and lets our riders cuddle and feed them! Thanks Michelle!!) Thanks so much as always to our instructors Sarah and Anna, and Brooke and Chloe! We had an absolute ball this rally and Im so excited to see everyone down at Werribee in 2 weeks!

03.01.2022 March Rally 2019 Unfortunately, our photographers camera decided to break and we couldnt upload any of the photos :( But! Our March rally was fantastic, all riders had a ball and did a mix of poles, cross country, showjumping, and flatwork which saw them all improve steadily each session!... A massive thank you to Sarah and Kelly for teaching our riders!

03.01.2022 This rally we ran a little in house horse trials in preparation for Werribee Pony Clubs annual; horse trials! Our riders practiced their dressage tests and completed a showjumping and cross country course with smiles on their faces despite the very average weather (especially the rain for cross country!) We also held our awards at lunch time so a huge congratulations to those who won an award - they were all very much deserved!... The DC would like to add that it was a delight to see all our riders being so incredibly supportive of each other - one of the many things that we find special about Hallam Valley is the camaraderie between riders.

02.01.2022 A lovely day and we just missed the late rain too so our riders stayed nice and dry! August this time around saw our riders getting stuck into a bit of flatwork, cross country, and grid jumping as well which they all seemed to thoroughly enjoy! As it is now the new financial year - we would like to welcome all our new committee members and say thanks to our old ones.... We had a fantastic turnout today and our younger riders also enjoyed some theory lessons in preparation for their D Certificate assessment. Finally we are all very excited for the annual Werribee Pony Club Horse Trials and are planning on having all our riders attend this year - so get ready to see some more competition photos from all our amazing riders! 01.01.2022 This year we attended our first pony club camp at the beautiful Whinbury Equestrian Centre in Paraparap. We did two 3 hour trail rides into the gorgeous bush land and enjoyed a swim in the dam with out horses as well. Massive thank you to Gill and her staff at Whinbury fro being so incredibly welcoming and enabling our riders to have such an enjoyable weekend! We will surely be back next year!
