25.01.2022 This Mothers Day, we took part in the Mothers Day Classic to support life-saving breast cancer research. In light of the current circumstances, the 2020 Mothers Day Classic went virtual. Mums and supporters either walked or ran 4km anytime, anywhere in their living room, at the local park or even in the backyard. #mdc2020 The event raises essential funds to support the work of The National Breast Cancer Foundation to help researchers improve breast cancer detection, develop new treatments, and allow people with breast cancer to live longer and better lives. Its not too late to donate: https://fundraise.mothersdayclassic.com.au/fundr/hallwilcox

24.01.2022 Hear from our Managing Partner, Tony Macvean, as he discusses the firms flexible working culture and what he expects the new normal to look like for Hall & Wilcox. Tony spoke to The Australian Financial Review. We already had a flexible working culture, with many of our people working flexibly, including part-time or full-time working remotely/from home. In the new normal that lies ahead, we expect that working from home will be taken up by more of our people and be more i...ntegral to how we work. Our physical office will continue to be important for learning, collaboration, connection and socialising, and essential in some roles. We think that, in the future, people will be even more empowered to decide where they work, based on what will be most effective. https://www.afr.com//work-at-home-collaborate-in-the-offic #flexiblework #auslaw #smarterlaw #covid19australia #newnormal #flexworkfulllife

Applications for the 2021 Frank accelerator program open today apply now!

18.01.2022 An Australia where people experiencing family violence feel supported is the vision of co-founders Luke and Daniel Mancuso for their initiative, YiaYia Next Door. We are grateful to have them involved in Frank Lab 2020. Since Daniel and Luke lost their mother to family violence in 2013, next-door neighbour Nina has passed home-cooked meals to the brothers over the fence. Nina insists that the brothers call her yiayia, the Greek word for grandmother. The story has gained qui...te a following, and their Instagram now has 77,000 followers and counting: https://www.instagram.com/yiayianextdoor/. Nina has become Melbournes most famous grandmother, and the YiaYia Next Door platform raises awareness and funds for people who have endured family violence. The initiative also supports organisations making a difference in this space. They have recently launched a campaign called make kindness contagious #LoveThyNeighbour during Victorias second COVID-19 lockdown. 04.01.2022 This week is National Reconciliation Week, an important celebration for all Australians, encouraging education about our shared culture and histories and exploration about how we can each contribute to reconciliation in Australia. One of the key focuses of our Reconciliation Action Plan is truth telling: https://bit.ly/2X2ncSU. National Reconciliation Week is a timely reminder of the journey that we are all on towards a fully reconciled nation. Fittingly and poignantly, this... years National Reconciliation Week theme is In This Together. This year marks 20 years since the reconciliation walks of 2000 when people came together across the nation to demonstrate their support for reconciliation in Australia. As we collectively face challenges, the likes of which we have never experienced before, we are reminded of the importance that each and every Australian plays in supporting each other and striving for a fairer, more reconciled country. While our celebrations may look a little different this year, we look forward to continuing to walk the path towards reconciliation, together. https://youtu.be/r0Ul8WB3kvA #NRW2020 #InThisTogether #reconciliation
