11.01.2022 Cloud Dough Inexpensive and hours of fun 2 cups of corn flour 1 cup of baby oil or hair conditioner (if no allergies) try fruit scented conditioner. Can also add a couple of drops of natural scent such a lavender, if desired... To change the colour of the dough add a couple of drops of dye (Children’s choice) or encourage then to choose two colours that allows them to further explore with colour. See more

11.01.2022 *** Exploring Anatomy with a focus on Hands*** This is another inexpensive, fun and effective experience for children to learn about their hands. All you need ...is a glove (not latex) and water. Fill the glove with water and freeze. Once frozen children can explore the hand with the glove on or removed. Add a few hands if desired with different mediums in it such as play dough, sand dirt. I have set it up as a small experience however it can be set up however you desire. Add magnify glasses to assist children with exploration. This experience is great for children to learn more about their hands, and further extend their language, social, fine motor, sensory, numeracy and explore with science. Discuss what you can do with your hands. Some children with this experience said, wash your hands, care for one another, hug ,sign, read, and explored with emotions saying you can be happy, sad, angry, surprised with your hands and more. There's so many learning extensions you can have with this experience such as singing, numeracy counting each finger, stories (hand topic).With this particular experience children decided to draw their own hands and what they can do with their hands. They even grabbed other books they discovered from the book shelf finding individual pages with pictures of people or characters doing something with their hands. The learning is endless.....
