24.01.2022 Some valuable information from our member AXIS Digital & Signs. Important Alert We've noticed recently a huge number of businesses on Facebook being the target of scam attacks. The scammer replicates the page as a personal profile, sends out friend requests to all of the business page followers then asks them to click on a link to register their details and enter their credit card information. See the example in the image below. A business Facebook page is different to a ...personal profile in that they're unable to send out friend requests, you only have the option of following them to receive updates. If you receive a friend request from a scammer pretending to be a business, either delete the request or report to Facebook and delete the request. Under the steady management of Megan and her lovely team, the Cove Tavern has gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years with additions like their Wine Nights and Band nights. Enter Covid-19 and the shutdown. The Cove Tavern's hotel operations were shut down, however the Bottle Shop was seen as an essential service. During the shutdown, the Cov...e Tavern offered take away meals that could be picked up through the bottle shop. Upon the easing of restrictions, they re-opened their doors and put in their Covid Plan to ensure that locals could still enjoy the services they could offer. Being greeted by a smile from the friendly team at the Tavern helped many of the locals from feeling isolated during this pandemic. 03.01.2022 Customer Service Tips 101 - what do you think? A couple of us attended a cafe yesterday (not in Hallett Cove Shopping Centre). We ordered a light lunch and coffees. One coffee ordered was particularly weak, but we didn't say anything initially. When the attendant asked how the coffees were (as the coffee was not finished), I did say that it was too weak. The reply was 'yes, the glass is rather big and we only use one shot'. And that was that. We were rather amused by t...his. Firstly, if they know the glass size is too big for the one shot, perhaps they should do something about it? Secondly, there was no effort of service recovery to fix the matter. Whilst this is a very trivial matter, it will affect that business as we do not intend to return. In business, big or small, service is so very important - no matter what industry...... See more
