25.01.2022 Wow how quickly things keep changing. Church will be on this Sunday. Hope to see you there
25.01.2022 Two questions come from Jesus: Who do people say the Son of Man is? and Who do you say I am? Without faith, reading through the Old Testament prophecies (and popular ideas) led to a number of popular theories about whom God might be sending to save his people. Best guesses of the people settled on some form of prophet: Jeremiah, who gave hope when Israel was in exile; or Elijah with his fire from heaven against the enemies; or even John the Baptist. Peter, with an answer as s...olid as a rock upon which the church could be built, brought the pieces of prophecy together: Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. That is, the expected Son of Man = Messiah = Son of God who is not stuck in actions of the past but very active, here, now. In Jesus, God is here with all that He has promised. When you think about Jesus: what do you picture Him doing today? Where do you expect to see Him? Where are you in the picture? Where do you want to be? How might you get there? What does God say to you in the Bible? See more

22.01.2022 Yes it’s back for this week.
22.01.2022 Here are some snippits from today's worship. Today's Theme: Living without fear what does it take? If you could be assured of success, what would you attempt for yourself or your family? What would you attempt for the Lord? What is stopping you doing any of these?... Reading the account of Peter walking on the water in Matthew 14 gives us lots to reflect on. The whole incident started from a place of fear. The disciples thought they were seeing a ghost. What made them question if their fear was justified? Notice also, as rash and bold as he was, Peter didnt immediately jump out of the boat he first put his request to the Lord and then, as soon as it was affirmed, over the side he went toward Jesus. What great faith he had in Jesus words and loving care! As we sail into unknown waters and seek the activity of God for a new era for the church in this area we can ask ourselves the joining Jesus questions: Where do we see Jesus at work around us? Are we willing to ask to join Him? and Are we ready to over the side, like Peter, to head toward Him as soon as He says Come? Blessings all! See more

15.01.2022 Blessings to all the Dads, Grand-dads, and other special men. Not every man is a gifted handyman around the home (some are wise enough to admit it and call in the experts rather than make matters worse themselves.) But for many of us give us a shed and the right tools (or at least tools and nous to work it out) and were as happy as Larry. It is a sense of accomplishment and maybe even a chip off the ol block that block being Gods!... Its not Builder Bob or the Ghost Busters that we call when we find parts of our lives screwed up. As we confess in the Creeds of the church - We know God as our Maker, and our Redeemer. And in Jesus we see both His heart and His presence in our world, seeking to fix what we, as humanity, have broken. Each of us is invited to join God in the work of reconciling the world to God; repairing what is broken; building each other up in the Lord, restoring peace with godly presence, applying grace and practical care to the needs before us. - May this be the character of us all and especially Handyman Dads in their homes and in their communities. Grab your Bible and let God speak to you through today's readings: 1 Corinthians 3: 5-16 Building on a firm foundation Matt 7:24-27 Wise man built his house on the rock
15.01.2022 Thank you Pastor Arnold for leading us today. THEME: Our inescapable God - TEXT: Psalm 139, 1-10 Psalm 139 is one of the great texts of the Bible. It spells it out very clearly that our God is an inescapable God. We can't withdraw from his presence and we can't escape from his judgment . He has been following us every moment of our lives and has a complete record of our existence. He continues to watch over us and will not abandon those whom he has made in his image. God dem...onstrated his love and concern when he sent his only Son to seek and to save that which was lost". That love allowed his Son to die, so that sin, which separated us from God could be removed, and all people could again have eternal life. And there's a wonderful message for those who have opened their hearts and allowed God into their lives. God's inescapable presence becomes a tremendous source of help and strength and a promise of peace and blessing. It becomes the only anchor to which we can cling when times of trouble and loneliness come into their lives and when human help is of no avail. What a blessing and comfort to know that God's love and care will not fail us, even in our darkest hours! Discussion Questions 1. If God is so omnipresent in the world, why do so many people not believe in him? 2. This Psalm portion deals with both Law and Gospel. Can you mark a verse where the Law speaks! Can you mark a verse that brings a Gospel message! There is a message here for those who are trying to run away from God. They need to know that no one can escape from God's discernment. Many would like to eradicate him from their lives, but life has shown that this defiant attempt of man is in vain. Atheists are not escaping from God . They simply can't let God and religion alone. People have tried to fill the vacuum of God in their hearts with all kinds of pleasures and earthly treasures, but have failed. These efforts will continue to fail, because nothing can take the place God should occupy. How tragic when people run away from the out-stretched arms of God's love! Grab your Bible and let God speak to you through today's readings: Romans 12: 921 When you are wronged keep loving Matthew 16: 2128 Peter under Satan

11.01.2022 Often we use the word luck without too much thought about what we are saying but the word implies a lot more than we realise. But in the Bible nothing is left to luck or chance. The Bible gives us a picture of a God who cares, listens and acts behind the scenes of human history and of our lives. Todays reading from a story in the Book of Genesis could be read just as a good luck/bad luck kind of story. Its about Joseph, the bratty spoilt kid in the Old Testament who was... given a fancy brightly coloured coat by his father, Jacob. Bad luck for his big brothers that this little kid was their fathers favourite. Then through a series of events that could be interpreted as just plain good luck ended up as prime minister to the Egyptian Pharaoh. In the message today, we are reminded not to rely on luck to get through life, but on the sure and certain love of God that we know through Jesus. Blessings for your week! Today's readings. Genesis 50: 15-21 Joseph is reconciled with his brothers, Romans 14: 112 Welcome the weak in faith, Matthew 18: 2135 Forgive your brother.

06.01.2022 Thanks Suzanne for leading our worship this morning. Here are some snippets from the service. This Sunday we reflected on The Feeding of the 5000 (Matthew 14:13-21) The natural order of things is that we take care of ourselves. We try and get ourselves to the point of self-sufficiency; to the point where we have enough. If we have more than enough for ourselves then we can share. But this mindset and natural order of things is such a limiting one really. It is limited not onl...y by what we have but also by what we are willing to release, to let go of what we have. And we are notoriously bad at doing that. This miraculous feeding occurred once the disciples realised what they didnt have; that they had nothing to offer. In Matthews Gospel account, we see the greatest miracles occur when people bring with them the least. It isnt what we have that makes us effective disciples in Gods kingdom. God can use us to feed the hungry and heal the broken through what he provides, rather than through what we have. God will see to it that his kingdom comes, on earth as it is in heaven. Our Bible Readings were: 1 Kings 17: 7-16,The widow of Zarephath & Matthew 14: 1321, Feeding of the 5000. Blessings all!
06.01.2022 We welcome back Pastor Rodney who shared with us about Pathways & God’s pathways. Think back over this last week: Have you met Jesus anywhere? Has Jesus met you? (Has He spoken, or reminded, or challenged you, or shown He is working in and through people? Have you met a place or person where you thought and prayed for Jesus to please be present and help?) Our readings today speak of paths. All paths do NOT lead to the same place. Where we end up in the future IS affected by ...the paths we choose to travel today. In Acts 4:12 it is revealed that salvation, heaven, a future with God, is found in no other name than Jesus. Jesus answered Thomas’ question about the way to the Father (God) with: I am the way, the Truth, and the Life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6. On the path with Jesus, we’re encouraged to fix our eyes on Him, carry on the conversation, & have it as part of our life. He is also here to meet with us as we struggle forward (or meet others struggling) so we have resources and help beyond ourselves in this journey on His path. Look at the initial questions again; reflect on them, and let them guide your prayer. Have a blessed week! Our readings were: Exodus 13: 17-18a14: 5-31 Pathway through the sea. Hebrews 10: 19-232 A new and living way opened for us. John 14: 1-6 Jesus is the way.
06.01.2022 For those that couldn't make it, here is some of today's service. Today's readings were: Genesis 25: 19-34, Romans 8: 1-11, Matthew 13: 1-9, 18-23. Pastor Rodney has provided some discussion questions to talk about after watching today's message.... *What do you appreciate & celebrate as you get to gather with God's people in worship? *What are some of your biggest struggles in life? *What challenge and encouragement is the verse, 'Nothing in all creation is able to separate us from the love of God that is ours in Christ Jesus'? *What does your changed status as a Child of God mean for you in how you live today and tomorrow? Blessings all.
05.01.2022 This morning's theme was Jesus' parable on the Weeds and the Wheat. See some moments from our service this morning. Our readings were Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 and Romans 8:12-25

04.01.2022 Pastor Rodney lead us through the parable of the laborers in the vineyard - Matthew 20: 1-16. "Where you look influences what you see and what you miss." We are told that the first workers missed seeing generosity towards themselves, their eyes were elsewhere. Their eyes were focused on comparisons with others and resentment equals envy. Literally the text has Jesus say, "Are your evil eyes evil because I am good?" May we see the goodness of God rejoice in it, and celebrate ...until the end of our day and beyond. Our readings for today were Philippians 1: 21-30, living is Christ dying is game. Matthew 20: 1-16, labourers in the vineyard. Blessings for your week!
03.01.2022 "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13 ESV #Koorong
02.01.2022 Snippets from today's service. Thank you Pastor Martin for leading us today. Our theme was: CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.... Text: Joshua 24:15 Albert Camus, a Nobel prize winner in Literature once said: Life is the sum of all your choices. Life is full of choices. Some choices arent very important with few consequences. Some though can have profound, life-changing consequences. ... Another person has said: The doors we open each day decide the lives we live. After conquering and settling into the promised land, Joshua, in his farewell speech to the children of Israel, offered them a choice. In this new land they would be tempted to forsake God and worship false gods and succumb to a godless lifestyle. He specifically encourages them to choose God because they were His covenant people. God had already chosen them. We are Gods covenant people. God claimed us in our baptism. But we live in a world where the pressure is on to live as the people of the world live. Every day, we have choices to make to live as Gods people or serve the false gods around us. SO, CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE? TODAY'S BIBLE READINGS Genesis 45: 115, Joseph revealed Romans 11: 1, 2a, 29-32, Imprisoned to be set free
02.01.2022 Great to have you joining us! Here are snippets from today's service August 23. Pastor Rodney has already provided some notes about today's theme. See: Post from Thursday 20th - "Two questions come from Jesus: Who do people say the Son of Man is? and Who do you say I am?"... Bible readings for today were: Romans 12: 18, One body, many parts & Matthew 16: 1320, Who is Jesus Have a great week!
01.01.2022 Blessings and peace to all those who are staying home and keeping cautious regarding our recent Covid outbreak. We give thanks that we were able to come out of lockdown early to be able to worship together! Craig, Luke and Andrea lead us through the last Sunday of the church year known as the Sunday of the Fulfillment. It is the day we celebrate and look forward to the coming of our Lord Jesus on that final day. ... Let the fruit of your faith be shown in good works! Have a blessed week! Our readings were: Ezekiel 34: 11-16, 20-24 God Himself will seek his sheep Ephesians 1: 15-23 Prayer to know God Matthew 25: 31-46 Separating the goats from the sheep
