20.01.2022 SO MUCH BETTER THAN WE EXPECTED! Having a friend who lived at Hallmont, Terry and Wendy had been visiting the Estate for quite a few years with friend Jackie, Hallmont resident, encouraging them to make the move! It wasn’t until Wendy’s parent’s passed away and she had the job of cleaning out their home and possessions, which she realised was a job that she didn’t want her own children to do! So the job of downsizing began! The couple had inspected the Community Centre ...and a display home previously, so decided to go see Josephine in the sales office once again to find out how they could begin the process of moving in. They found a unit at Hallmont in the perfect location and put their home on the market and pretty soon they were packing the moving truck! Wendy and Terry have embraced the community spirit they love the social interaction, so much so that Terry is now the Chairman and Wendy the Treasurer of the Resident’s Committee. They love being involved and assisting with some new ideas to get other residents involved in the Hallmont community. Terry has started a Colour-in class, which is ideal for relaxation and it has been very popular! Peace and quiet are two words that are used to describe the couple’s new lifestyle. Wendy has finally learnt how to swim, thanks to having her own pool on site to use. They love happy hour and the Friday night meals, it’s a great way for interacting with other residents plus no cooking is always a bonus! But Wendy and Terry stated that you don’t have to be a socialite to move to Hallmont you have the freedom to be as involved as you want or as little as you want! Just having the sense of security and living among other people in the same mind set is a huge bonus. Their words of advice to anyone contemplating the move is: Move before it’s too late! So many people have said that they wish they had made the move when they were at a younger age! If we had known then what we do now, we would have also moved years ago! It is now a LEGAL OBLIGATION to wear a face mask and sanitise your hands when going to the Community Centre to collect mail. RESIDENTS ONLY TO COLLECT MAIL. Access to the mail room only - no other areas in the Community Centre are open. Restrictions will be reviewed after Tuesday 24th November, 2020. 07.01.2022 With the harsh reality of the COVID 19 pandemic, now more than ever it has brought forward just how beneficial it is to live in a Lifestyle Village. 06.01.2022 On Saturday - Food Bank set up at The Marketplace Mount Gambier to gather donations for this years can drive. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of donations - we can proudly announce that 1109 kilos of food was the tally for this years drive. This equates to 2218 meals that will be gratefully accepted by those in need this Christmas and the coming months. Vince Versace would like to thank Lyn Neshoda from Food Bank and everyone for their donations and to those who came along to help with collections on the day. It's wonderful to see such a caring community - especially during a time when everyone is struggling with Covid restrictions.

05.01.2022 COVID 19 has put a lot of restrictions on what we all need to do - but at Hallmont Estate we always aim to find an outcome to assist with the ongoing well being of our residents. Hence our "drive thru" flu vaccination was the perfect way to get around the social distancing requirements at the moment. Many thanks to Dr Roy, Kath & Josephine for making it a quick and safe solution!!
