24.01.2022 Amanda: Halloween dusk 2 dawn twilight (7pm start) half marathon completed. Was a little bit apprehensive about this run because the weather forecast was not looking good with severe storms forecast. But, the dome threw its protective covering over us and said, no storm shall pass thru here and we were saved. Yay!..... but it was humid.... and quite warm for the first 10k’s or so. Happy to say I managed to stay upright with no falls. I did have two very near misses that ...had me doing my best Peter Garrett from Midnight Oil impersonations. Overall it was a great run with great company. Thanks Shippy for running with me. See more

18.01.2022 Amanda Gump: Completed my first ever night time trail run last night and took out 1st female in the 21km event. (I have to add a disclaimer- there was only 3 or 4 females in this event so it’s not as impressive as it sounds) It was an interesting run. I DIDN’T get lost, but I did fall over twice! Small fall on the first lap then a massive stack on the last lap. Took skin off, cut my hand, ripped my tights and hurt my knee. This fall even set off my incident detection alarm on my Garmin so I hit the ground with a big splat!! Despite all of this, I did enjoy the run. Running in the dark, on trails with just a head torch definitely requires a lot more concentration and I definitely need to learn to pick my feet up!!

07.01.2022 Matt Bell: We all survived the epic Halloween dusk 2 dawn trail run though no-one left unscathed. Night running through technical single trail (old mtb track) tested everyone and took plenty of blood, sweat and tears. Just over 7km loops with a direction change at midnight to keep the mind working. Managed to knock out 10 laps while Jen took out overall winner with 12 (84km+)! Thanks CTTR for fantastic organisation and fun, no-one takes care of their runners like you guys #coastaltrackandtrailrunners
