24.01.2022 Next year is the Centenary of Rotary in Australia - 100 years of Rotarians helping their communities and our nation. The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted ...the kick off of centenary celebrations. A small number of guests at Government House were joined virtually by thousands of Rotarians around the country. The contribution of Rotary and its members to our community is immense. As the Governor-General said Rotarians live and breathe community. They are dependable, they are selfless, and they want to make the world a better place. Rotary International Rotary100downunder Leo Sayer

24.01.2022 A Centenary Project that all Rotary Clubs can get involved in.

23.01.2022 We are proud to be supporting Abundant Water as they provide a clean water solution into Timor Leste, and a sustainable business model for their vendors. Our relationship with AW goes back to the beginning in Laos. Keep up the great work Abundant Water team!!

23.01.2022 While Canberra numbers for COVID-19 are tracking better than expected (well done Canberra!) we need to make sure that we keep doing all that we can to keep it t...hat way! Our three rules at the market are more important than ever: 1. Keep your distance. Please be aware of where you are walking and queueing at all times. 2. Shop and Go! We can't wait to welcome you back for a leisurely breakfast however right now we need you to shop and go and to not loiter or stop to chat. We've noticed that more families are attending the market again - we ask that only one person per household attend to keep crowds down which helps everyone keep their 1.5m distance. 3. Sanitise your hands at entry. We'll have local distillery @undergroundspirits at the market with their new hand sanitiser to apply when you attend and also available for purchase. We'll have less space within the shed to spread our stalls out this weekend (oh hello terrible weather conditions!) so the above rules are super important this weekend (and all weekends). Thank you for doing your bit and supporting the market and our farmers!

16.01.2022 Despite the challenges of 2020, the Rotary Club of Hall Remembrance Day Service on November 11 was smaller than in previous years due to COVID-19. And unfortunately, there was no after-service social get-together. But it was a moving event in a beautiful setting. Hopefully we will be able to see you all at the Anzac Day service at Hall in 2021.

15.01.2022 It was great to be back in our clubroom in Hall on Australia Day to kick-off 2021. Other than just catching up with mates, there was one piece of business; to draw the winner of the Rotary Aussie Peace Walk Earlybird prize valued at $390. - And a worthy winner too.

14.01.2022 The R100 Centenary Baton has now been launched. The R100 Centenary Baton is an important symbol of how Rotarians connect with each other and our communities, n...ow and into the future. Imagine Rotarians, local personalities, Councillors, community leaders, community groups, and everyday people around Australia & New Zealand carrying the baton of service and passing it forward. Imagine the R100 Centenary Baton being passed on at every District and Club Changeover for the next 100 years, with the Rotary leader’s name inscribed in perpetuity. Connecting with future generations of Rotary leadership. Their Excellencies The Governor General and Mrs Hurley have passed the Centenary Baton to the Presidents of Melbourne and Sydney; the two clubs that were founded in 1921 with 100th anniversaries in April and May 2021. It’s now the turn for every District and any Club to obtain your very own Centenary Baton. Think about the value it can bring in so many ways. How can you get involved? Own your own R100 Centenary celebration and be part of a bigger event! Energise your club and create a celebration of 100 years of Rotary by planning an event - a Dinner, Fund Raiser, Walk through Town, or maybe a Fun Run. Involve your community in your planning, invite members of the public to be part of the committee, engage community groups and businesses to partner with you. The baton is a visible symbol of 100 years of Rotary achievement. Reach out to local media to get the message out across your area. Tell the story of what Rotary has achieved and where we will make a difference in the next 100 years. And be part of a R100 Baton Relay across Australia & New Zealand to celebrate 100 years of Rotary working in our communities. Throughout the country, State by State, District by District, Club by Club. Rotary Connects in new and novel ways like we never have before. Gather batons from across the nation for a Parade of Batons at signature Anniversary events throughout 2021, showing your colours and demonstrating to the world that you were there! We are actively seeking club and district champions. For more information and to purchase your own R100 Centenary Baton, visit the R100 Centenary Baton website at https://www.r100baton.com/ or become Facebook friends @ https://www.facebook.com/R100baton. The R100 Baton Champion is PP Linda Humphries who would love to hear your story at [email protected]
